i bought it. plans are to enjoy it. as for being a real SS i am not sure. it is a X11 car with power disk but it does not have the original engine. so who really knows?????

mmm damn thats a damn nice car....67 68 and 69 camaros are my favorite cars....as for it being a real ss my understanding is the ss came with bucket seats, console shifter, disc brakes, were available with 350's and 396's engines, and A/C

so i gotta ask, i don't need a figure, but was the price comparible with what everything else is going for these days? I got my 1971 Torino GT in 97 i think for about $1600 and now it would probably go for about $12,000. Go figure...

you would have to get the engine option from the build tag and crossrefrence with the build date to find out if true ss. also the x11 was not a SS only option. The first year Camaros didnt include a SS vin or build tag, some of the 67s did I think it was an X on the tag for a SS

i have not decoded the tag yet. I know that all nor most x11's were SS's. it was just as option. i doubt it was a SS to start with. i really do not care :)
i paid a decent price for it but these cars range from $15000 for a driver to $150000 for a show car.

I know everyone does, my dad did restoring for NCRS for years he had 2 63's and a 65 an 67. I have driven one of the split window 63s he had and I did not like it cant see out of the back and just not the same feeling, it was like driving a muscle car...the feeling of the 60 with those 6.17x15 NYLON tires, just straining under the 315 hp fuel injected motor. and that manual steering... and the sound coming out of the bumpers...

did you ever see the show " the last sting ray" on "american muscle car" on the speed channel? its pretty cool. they take the VERY LAST 1967 corvette sting ray to come off the assembly line and restore it, and they tell you all about the corvette.
