What's up 3ww?

I'm just wondering who here runs R/C cars as a hobby (electric or nitro, doesn't matter).

I have a Hot Bodies Lightning R/R 4wd nitro buggy, an Associated T3 2wd stadium truck, and an HPI RS4 MT 4wd truck that I have set up as a crawler.

Sorry, my camera is broken. There's really nothing to see, the Lightning looks totally stock (because it is, other than the chrome rims I put on it), the T3 has a red body with Trophy Truck style graphics (sponsor stickers), and the RS4 has no body at all. If I had a camera I'd take some pics of the articulation I get with the RS4, it's insane. I can drive up onto a shoebox with a front tire and both rears will still be on the ground...

Sweet thread idea...

I have a Losi XXX-4 G+ with a Speedgems I built (trued arm, comm, timed), streak ESC, and some ProMatch 3300 match packs.
Duratrax Evader BX with a MRC stadium mt-10s body painted like a vintage baja truck.
Traxxas Sledgehammer (first hobby-class rc).
Team Losi Mini-T with a Losi Sport motor and Losi team shocks.

I've had a few, I still have the TC3, the rustler, and the 2 Indy cars. Our local track closed and now the closest thing is over an hour away.

Cool cars mark!

Anyone want to buy some? I'm selling all of them. The Lightning R/R comes with a laundry list of replacement parts still in the bag. I have them inventoried and can send you the full list if you PM me. It needs a new recoil assembly, or you can put a Tiger-Drive on it, it's got the same engine in it as the Savage monster truck. The T3 stadium truck is basically a rolling chassis, wherein you need to add all the electronics yourself. The RS4 MT is a fully functional rock-crawler-type-thing. It will run if you plug in a battery, however the motor it's got in it (Team Associated 20-turn Stock) is sorely lacking in torque and doesn't like to crawl up obstacles. Stick a 17-turn Monster Maxx in it (that's what I had in it until the MM blew up) and it will go anywhere the tires have the traction to go. If someone is interested, please PM me or reply here. Prices will be very cheap.

Result of a freak accident with another car, the body actually split in half right there. I wont say what happened, Ill just leave this one up to your imagination.

wow I was racing Rcs and RC an Rc here when the only full race you could buy was a RC10 without the stealth trany and way before carbon chassis. I still have it in my parents attic, along with a Grasshopper and my Hornet

I still have a whole box of rc10's/parts, some Andy's monster truck conversions, and a bunch of RPM long A arms for them. The pan chassis were allways my favorite.

I only have a stampede roller left of all my RC parts...adn I don't think I'd ever get rid of it lol. I love my stampede. Buy some paddles for it if you want snow performance. That's what I did with mine. Make sure you wrap everything in plastic bags or balloons to if you want good electronics.

Believe me that thing is such a piece  ...I just take it out once in a while because the batterys so dead that it only holds for 5-10 minutes. I need to get a new charger for it because it caught fire last time I used it. Most everythings cracked or broken on it, if you look close you can see that theres only one side of the front body mount, the shocks are all blown, and someone used computer screws to hold it all together........ It was a beater when I got it and thats about all its used for, its not really worth spending any money on it. If I ever got a new/nicer one I would set it up real good.

A Stampede was my first R/C car! I had a set of SandPaw paddles on it and it would shoot roost 10 feet in the air when I got on the gas, but that's because I had a 12-turn in it (can you say 3 minute run times... ) If you want to get hooked up with parts or whatnot, I can get you stuff for real cheap. I have a complete shock set off of a nitro buggy, brand new in the package. Sell 'em to ya for 10 bucks a pack, that's 20 bucks for some shocks you'll probably never blow out again, because they're meant for a machine twice as heavy and about 20 times as fast! I also have Dynamite 2000mah packs (2 of 'em) that I'd sell ya for 5 bucks a pop, they're barely used. Or I could just sell you my RC10T3 truck chassis and you could build it up with all sorts of nice stuff. It's kinda old but it has no damage to it, nothing is broken or cracked, there's some light surface scratching, but nothing serious. PM me if you're interested. I also have a complete running nitro buggy and 3 gallons of fuel.

P.S. Shipping is free for you, you're in AK and it won't cost me much to ship anything to you.

I know what you mean redrider, I ran low gearing and either a hot 12 turn motor or the stock stinger motor that i rewound...That stempede was definently a roost throwing beast. I used to love hammering it around at the bmx track i raced at.

Kept burnin up the mechanical speed controls and didnt have the money to upgrade to a real one...maybe ill pony up the 50$ to get one thatll hold up. havent messed with it in a few years.

My friend recently bought a 6-turn motor (!!!!!!) and started building home-made 7 cell packs. I don't think I've ever seen a Stampede that powerful before, he can't even hammer on the gas anymore or he starts blowing up stuff in his tranny and starts tearing up spur gears...

What I've always wondered about was the E-Maxx Brushless Conversion, the one from Hacker. It replaces 2 motors with a single brushless that you hook up to a special ESC and then plug in two batteries. I've wondered how that would go in a Stampede... Probably have torque out the wazoo. I had a single Monster-Maxx 17 turn in my RC10T3 and it had tons of torque, and you're meant to run TWO of those motors in an E-Maxx.

I have a Tmaxx and a jato-- The maxx is a wheelie machine with a resonator pipe, regeared, 2.5R motor, big tourque hitec servo and a high stall clutch... Would love to sell it for some 350X parts! Same with the jato... (good luck keeping tires on that thing)

a couple of months ago i decided to get away from nitro and get into brushless. I ended up buying a Rustler VXL. I set it up with lipo packs and did a little bit of gear changing. None of my nitro's can hold a candle to it. It is super dependable. I constantly had to work on my nitros but i havnt had to work on this one yet after bashing it everyday.

Ya I had a gas car made my duratrax and it lasted pretty good until I started to take it out to the desert then I sold it and got brushless. Man did my rustler mob hard. Whatever I ran it into it would not break. Then I wanted something for the desert again so I bought a hpi savage and that thing is a beast. I have a big block .32 on it and paddles. 3 speed tranny and rear exhaust. Compleate roll cage and metal gear servos. It flys up any hill it faces.

I have often thought of getting into messing with Nitro R/C cars. My brother has had a bunch of them and the ones that I drove I always had fun playing with. While it may be a lower line car, If I can talk to G/F into getting me one for christmas, I want to start out with an RC 10. I liked my bro's, it wasnt realy expensive, and you could get anything for it.
