I was thinking about this, I see all these people puting 175 two stroke motors in or cr125 motors in, but i was thinking why not a kdx in there they seem to have have all of the bottem end that you need, to me that seems like a better idea than cr125 to me...

If you have the parts to do it, i say give it a whirl and throw some pics up!

I thought about this too, and if I didn't already have the 175cc, the first thing I would've looked for was a KDX200 or 220. Awesome motors, and plenty of power.
I think one reason you don't see people doing it, is probably because the CR125's and others are a lot more common and easier to aquire than the KDX.
One other problem might be the size.. It's much easier to route a pipe with a 125 in the X frame. My 175 is taller, like a KDX and it's making the pipe fairly difficult to route. I would assume that the KDX is the same, if not taller so that might worry me. But you never know until you try.

I forgot they were water cooled, wonder how hard it would be to mount the rad's?
Do you already have a KDX?

i think it would be pretty hard mounting the rad. i think a 2stroke airfooler motor would be a pretty good idea. maybe an older yz___ motor would fit?
