Well one thing's for sure, i have a Franks and so does Hadar. We compared them at TF. And there are very small differences. But what in the hell is that bar welded to the side of it? Don't know about that one?

FYI,

That swinger is a franks first generation, (square and oval tubing, compared to second generation oval only) swinger for a 84/85 Tecate. By looking at those parts on ebay, Blazerone22's nice red Tecate has been abused, dismantled and parted, damn shame... The mount on the side is for the chain tensioner.

It's a Frank's! Not sure what the bar is?! It's probably a idler shaft for a chain roller.

Maybe, but like i said, never seen one with "that" on there. Somewhere ive seen a thread on someone who did a great job stretching a oem arm. Looked factory.

So your saying an 84/85 has the square and oval tubing? I got one off an 85 with oval tubing only..

It looks just like the one on my Frank's 3 wheeler... I'm sure it's a Frank's and not a modified OEM.

Maybe someone welded the pecker on it..................

You are associating the word "generation" with Tecate. Franks didn't make swingers for 86/87 T-3's. Franks made 2 types of swingers for the 84/85 Tecate. First generation swingers were made of square tubing reinforced with oval tubing. These were made from 11/1983 to approximately 12/1984. During this time Kelvin had some returns back in shop with cracking in a few places. The newer design is oval construction. Franks oval tubing swingers are rarer. Someone before Blazerone22, modified and added the chain tentioner to the arm.

I was reading the old posts and that T3 is super nice. It looks like Blazer parted all his 2 strokes himself??? :( That chrome arm is sure pretty, looks like a +2!
