My brother and I have been getting lots of work on the side..enough to start our own business...WE have been trying to think of a good catchy name for it...nothing is coming to mind. Anyone got any ideas?

2 Guys Construction
2 brothers Constuction
Construction-R-Us
Building Blues Brothers
( First initial ) & ( First initial ) Construction

If you putting it in the phone book you might want to use names like below. The reason for this is they are listed before most other simular buisnesses.
AAA Constuction
Acme Construction
Builder Boys Construction

I would use the name "F.M. Construction" my dad is a contractor, and he always says that the customers are always so impressed with a remodel or an addition... So when a customer askes how you did that...Answer being... F.M. Construction... Well whats F.M. stand for? Its *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**E dited* Magic...

Howdy has a good point. I cant think of anything but have some suggestions you should think about.

1. Make the name something catchy. If people can remember the name for whatever reason, they are more likely to think of you when they need work.
2. I would stay away from using your lastname...like Smiths consturction. Its nice to kind of keep your business rep seperate from your personal rep. It takes one mad customer to give you a bad name. Same goes with you personally, all it takes is for one enemy to think your a douche and they could hurt your business. If your business gets a bad name, its better to keep it with your business rather to have it reflect onto you personally and vise versa. Understand what I mean?

Yes..I also dont want to use my name because in the future it would be harder to sell the business if we ever wanted to..

So far, we are almost settled on Cutting Edge Construction.

Close-Enough Construction is in second

It needs a to be associated with a catch phrase or sign also.

When you see golden arches what do you think of?
BowTie is Chevy?
Blue Oval

Local electrician compnay here goes by Meis Electric that is there last name.
They changed all the signs to MEis and then ran tons of commerials about who done your electric? ME, Who fixed your lights? ME, they said those commercials have boosted business tons.

I think "cuttin edge" sounds great!!

I want to go solo someday on an HVAC business called "DOCTOR COOL"..... LOL

Unfortunately residential air conditioning and heating is so cut throat with allot of hacks out there. I want to fly with commercial accounts but it takes a large backing bank account and they don't pay for up to 120 days. If they can find even one small mistake, they won't pay you until it's resolved.
