Hot rod lawn mower

Does any body know how to hotrod a lawn mower? I know pullies is one but i dont know what that calls for and how to get pullies

bigger pullys, go to your local lawn and garden center. take the old pully with you and get a bigger one with the same size shaft, and measure and make sure the bigger pully will clear everything. and another thing is to take the governor off.

the governer off is a definite yes, but i was just watching them on tv the other day, big pully is slow just alot of pulling power. for speed you need smaller pulleys. also you can get cams and all kind of stuff to make it beefier.... smaller tires work good also. and take off the blades of course.

You want a big pully on the front and a small one in back im also thinking about makin a straight pipe since it wont be going to sanctioned races.
