Just picked this up today, was told it is a Polaris Indy 650, but looked at the vin and founf out it was made in 05/1991 which would make it a 1992 I guess. It is a very nice sled, great shape, looks absolutely mint, and runs and starts like a dream, has hand warmers and an accesory plug, picked it up for a steal of $1300 which I could probably sell it again for $2000. Anyways, you guys have any information on these sleds, anything I should really know about? Know any good Polaris sled forums?
Here are some pictures.

Yes, It does have some kind of custom pipes on it, I will check what brand sometime, now I cant wait till snow so I can get this thing out rippin'.
Thanks for the comliment on the truck, when I stepped back it looks like a nice unit and picture background so I decided to take a picture of it.

It does sound pretty good, in the lower RPM's (4000 and under) it doesnt make alot of noise and is quiet, but anything over that it sounds wicked!

Look's like the Indy my brother use too have ,I ain't much on the Polaris machine's but his was a rocket,I think his was a '92 650 also.On my Bros. machine I think we had 244 Woody's, pick's on the track a heavier Clutch spring's,I think Yellow's ,and we changed up the gearing ,on the drive. It had the same pipe's you have it look's like,PSI pipe's with the stinger's.we tightened up the limiter strap as tight as we could for lake racing and it hooked up hard ,it would get my stock"at the time" 900 T-Cat outta the whole, but I'd get him in the end,at 1/4 mile..I remember alway's jetting, and then jetting some more,we'd run that thing on the brink everytime.Until we finally blew the crank. But that thing would revvvvvv high bigtime.I'll look for some old drag pic's of her,and post 'em sometime..Nice sled for a Polaris though....

Looks great!!

If you know anyone interested in a 92 440 F/C w/reverse, grip/thumb warmers, send em my way. I won't be riding at all this winter due to the crash and I was planning on selling anyway. See my sig for a pic.

These are two good sites I used to frequent when I first got my sled.

Sandpuppi - That sounds like a beast of a sled, Im sure it will go pretty good and now I can wait for snow. And if you can find old pictures and video's of it racing be sure to post em' up, i would love to see them.

350X- Thanks fpr the compliment, I will be sure to check out those forums, I am already a member of Snowmobilefanatics, joined about 3hrs ago, but Ill join hardcoresledder in a minute. As for your sled it looks sweet and in very good shape, I would love to have a sled with reverse and a sled that look that new, but the bad thing is PA is one heck of a drive to pick up the snowmobile, but thanks anyways.

Thanks for all the compliments guy!

Get a veriflow set up, or a stock pile of jets, if you want to keep it in one piece this winter, there real picky bout that,,, otherwise..Extra light tripple...GIVER!!!

Looks like a nice sled, those old Polaris RXL 650's really move, looks like you got a pretty decent deal. I just picked up a 95 XCR600 a little while ago, just got done putting a 1 1/4 track in her. Good luck with that.
