Hey guys, thought I would put up the bad quality cell phone pics of the sled I recently bought. Its an 81 or 82 Yamaha SRV 540, looks a little rough but for $250 with paper work I think I did alright. Nothing really wrong with it, starts 1-2 pulls, runs great idles good, track is in nice shape, rear suspension is alright, and I need to rebuild the two front shocks. I've cleaned it up a lot since then, these were taken the day I bought it.

I've been pretty happy with yamaha sleds, I have two 440 SS's, and they were great. I've never ridden a fan cooled sled that had this kind of power, its great. I'm going to register it and ride some trails with it this winter, all we need now is snow

threw in a few pictures of my buddy riding my 440 SS last year. Needs a new seat cover but other than that its pretty decent.

Hey thanks for the compliments guys! Haha yeah dude I totally hear ya on the waiting for the snow to fall, I cant wait. It will be nice because I will be done with college after this semester and should have a lot more time to ride the trails. Post some pics of your Phazer! I need to get me one of those, I'm starting to collect the 1980's yamaha snowmobile line up, haha. Got a 340 enticer, 440 ss and 540 srv, now I just need an exciter and an old school vmax 540 (you the ones that look like darth vader helmets:lol:)

Bryan, somehow I totally forgot about the auction, I'm glad you mentioned it! I dont have any money but I'll be there anyways, I hang out there all the time, haha. What time are you getting there?

nice sleds guys, love the style of those srx's they just look mean its great.

As far as a track for your phazer, I'm not sure about this but at least its an idea you can look into, see if it takes the same track as an SS, SRV, VMAX, etc, see what other sleds use the same track. Could probably just check dennis kirk or something and see, but I'm pretty sure these sleds shared a lot of parts and I think a few had the same track. Anyways, good luck with it. phazer looks nice by the way, and I'm not suprised to hear it started up so easily these sleds have to be among the most reliable snowmbile ever, at least the motor.

I have been to that website before, but I had forgot what it was called, thanks for giving the name now I can go check it out. Only a few more weeks until the snow starts falling guys:w00t: :w00t:
