'82185s actually came up with this idea, he did it to his shed and then I did mine with all the extras. It actually puts out a lot of light and I dont need the flood lights to see what im tripping over at night anymore. Works pretty good IMO.

I ended up using 4 100 light strands and 2 'nets'.

So what do you guys think???

I use to use those lights for mood lighting in my house when I was single. Trust me, it worked.

Well....I must say that there will not be an unlit corner and he'll be able to find that trike for an emergency night ride. Why not just get a flourescent fixture or two? or maybe a flash light? Besides, if your camera uses flash, it'll look lit no matter what.

Kinda neat, puts me in the XMAS mood.

Neat, aside from the 1500 potential places for a fire to begin....

These things are way better then the flood lights Ive been using. 1) These lights dont use anywhere close to as much power as the flood lights used, 2) They dont even put out enough heat to make them warm to the touch, and 3) I like them better then flashlights or flourescent lights, because flashlights dont really put out too much light, and these light up the entire shed, I dont have to keep moving the lights around to where Im working. They work for me just fine.

Next up, Im putting a 4 plug outlet mounted to the side of one of the posts, so I can use power tools and heaters without running an extension cord out.

Those lights might melt the walls or roof of your "shed". Do you have a big dog or anything that protects anything inside? Wouldnt take much to steal a trike or two.:w00t:

That only happens on tv where they rig it to do that. They say that about fire crackers too but they don't blow off your hand or give you tinnitus so long as you don't hold it in your hand or your ear. Besides, if we all go around fearing all the potential fires, spills, slips and crashes, then we wouldn't be riding these evil, kid killing, 3 wheeled deth traps now would we?

I gotta try that mood lighting thing too. :naughty: I have some cool lights out back with little crystal things around the bulbs to make them look bigger or something.
