Summit County Fair Grounds.. 6 race series.

If you want to stay in the groove this winter, you may want to check this out. 2 weekends out of your busy schedule could be just the ticket to cure those winter blues!

Here's the deal. These are CRA sanctioned races. We ARE allowed to race our trikes. We can have our own class but we need a few more riders. As of right now we just run in senior quad.

The dates are:

January 11-12-13
February 22-23-24

The costs are:

20.00 CRA membershi fee - good for one year *also good for any fair races*
35.00 for each day you run *10.00 off each day if you registar before Jan. 9th.

Thanks for the heads up Derrick!

I'm in on these for sure! What is the name of the facility?

You mention 3 dates every weekend - is there a race each day???

Derrick Adams

Tim, we have the potential to run a race each day. They will be running 6 total. One each Fri, Sat, and Sun on those dates. They also have open practice on both Thurs. evenings before.

The facilities are actually Summit County Fairgrounds, in their indoor arena. (5 minutes from Max's house). The promoter is Patriot Promotions and they operate under the CRA.

Like I said, I will race whatever days everyone else would like to run. Makes no difference if its one race or all six! BUT... if your coming to town for the weekend anyhow... might as well run a couple. lol

How many to make a class in indoor? I would love to see a 2 stroke class and separate 4 stroke class.. or maybe a big bore/ small bore class.
Wishful thinking maybe but who knows...

It seems like it was either 5 or 7, if memory serves me correctly.

OK - I am marking my calender for the Saturday, January 12 race. Who is down with this??? We are only about 6 weeks out Boys and girls! Let's get a list together!

As of right now, i'm planning to hit that one as well. I would suggest not running the 500 at the indoors though. It's a little tighter than your probably used to.

I can't speak for Brandon, but I would guess he'll be there as well. I'll give TimSr. a call tommorrow and see what days he's going. I can tell you that Saturday is the longest day. It will be an ALL DAY event.

Anyword from TimSr and Jr? Are they in?

What would be the benefit of not riding the 500 on this track Derrick? I figure any seat time on it will get me better prepared for the 08 race season. Gotta get my feet wet somehow, eh?

Derrick Adams
12-05-2007, 08:01 PM
Tim... go for it! I would think you would be more competitive on the 250 or even the 350X inside though. I personally think the 500 is a bit out of control for the tight turning track inside.

Can't wait to see you guys!

LOL I've considered it, but I'm really not going to have the money to pony up for admission and all that. Besides, racing outdoors is better for me because only a few people at a time can see just how bad I am, not every single person at the event for the entire duration...lol.

Do we need to have a tether kill swith to race?

Derrick Adams
12-31-2007, 11:36 AM
They always say you should, but i've never had one that works. You should really think about getting one though, being as you will be racing the bike at least 4 times a year.

WOW!!!! What a great time it was - a huge crowd gathered to watch on Saturday night. There were lots of people who came up to us and were pretty excited to see us racing the trikes.

It was a really good time - more trikers in the PA, OH, MI area need to come to this race. The track is easy enough for anyone to ride. All you need is a tether switch and some numbers - which can easily be made from electrical tape.

O T C Trike Racing Rules!!!!!!!!!

Here I am carving a turn on the big 500!

Atctim, Yes I thought It was an awesome shot. The guy was roaming around the gate when we pushed our bikes up. He seemed real cool too, before the race he said your gunna have some fun arent you? I said heck yeah. Then bam the gate dropped. The track was great and racing was pretty Intense.

What happened to the little turf tamers?

seadoo650
02-17-2008, 09:01 PM
Tamers are way too much traction for this course. These are bout half wore and slide alot better.
