I have a new one on my rider. Maybe I should take it off there and put it up for bid. It's only been used at the dunes so it's got 99.999% tread left.

What's the usual going rate for them?

150 -250 minimum for NOS but are a must when someone like Mike at Vintage is doing a full showroom condition restoration

I'll trade it for a pair of new Dunlop KT355 rear tires if anybody is interested.

So whats the difference between the ohtsu and the dunlops?? The lettering??
Seems awful stupid to pay that much for a tire with a couple different letters on it, when a respectable company such as dunlop makes a perfectly good tire that looks identical.
I can see where some people are coming from though. i.e.-I believe in buying oem parts, and if I restored my R, I would buy the OEM fenders, even though maier is available. I guess it just suprised me.
I dont see anyone putting the stock pipe back on to increase their value. lol

Actually there is no problem with the dunlops. If I had a 250r rider and wanted the stock look I would buy a dunlop....The people who do TRUE restorations live in a culture in its own with high standards and little fexibility in their thinking. We spend alot of time and money searching for proper parts. Even the later production ohtsu wasnt good enough for me   ...I had to find (and did) an NOS ohtsu that had the PRO VECTOR written on the side rather than the P/V.... its enough to annoy myself   Its very hard to pull off properly thats why Mike at vintage was relieved to be able to experiment and create that 250r in his last thread and thats why I have a modded one in the works to relax with.I love and appreciate all wheelers ....custom, slightly modded, etc, but my preference is 100% OEM showroom look. You have to get in the auto collector mindset to start to understand, low miles, numbers matching and OEM increase the value dramatically. And yes plently of people have put stock exhausts on to increase the value  not to many 250rs with a aftermarket exhaust have hit that 4500-6500 range...... those are the ones all stock with ? ....yes, a stock exhaust

Edit: more pics posted in the second listing that answered my questions.

I don't think someone bought it. Looks like he got a whif of what it might be worth and just changed the listing (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230200540349).
