I have a 1998 klx 300r, but I don't have pic. I was wondering when the kdx 200 front forks were changed from upside down style to the conventional that is on them now. How is the kdx for jumping? Do you have a aftermarket pipe on it?

The kdx's received the upside down forks only in 93 and 94. They switched back to standard when the perimeter frame change was made in95. I prefer this style fork, I really don't see why they didn't keep making it. As far as jumping, the bike will jump small sized jumps, but it really isn't a motocross bike by any means. The suspension is great for soaking up trails at a good clip, but I've bottomed mine out several times. Stiffer springs can be bought, I'm sure that would help, I haven't jumped mine enough to worry with it. I do have a pipe on mine. I have the FMF fatty and silencer, and it seemed to help the power out a good bit, but I also modded the airbox lid, added boyeson power reeds, and jetted the carb up some. The stock pipe is pretty restrictive on the kdx, these bikes really come alive with some mods.

when they went to the perimeter frame and conventional fork in 95, the fork also had cartridge internals which made it much better.

I have really been wanting to get some lower fork guad decals but I don't know which ones will fit best on my 1998 klx 300 stock guards. Has anyone found that one brand or year works better than another? How much modifiying does a guy have to do to get the kx decals to fit?

i gotta 1974 KH chassis, with a 1987 KE 100 engine, no pics yet, I am 15, i bought a 1976 KM 100 from my neighbour, but the cylinder was wrecked, and i couldnt get one, so i ordered a ke engine, didnt fit, grr, so i bought a rolling chassis, and peiced everything together, I have pretty much built the bike, and now, the timing is out, anyone know anything on 2 stroke timing? i need some help, i am 15 and dont know much on timing, it fires at BDC (bottom dead centre) so it dont get the compression to keep running, it runs for about 30 seconds to 45 seconds tops, then dies on me, i have no pics, yet, but it has an orange gas tank, a black frame, and since its an oldie, it dont have plastics, lol.

I reccomend getting a manual for your bike, it should have plenty on setting the timing, and various other things you will need before it's over. If you can't get a kawasaki manual off ebay, get a clymer...

What is an ok looking 84 kdx200 worth? I have one in pieces, dont even know if everything is there. It was given to me so i guess it wouldn't hurt to pay somone else to put it together.
