I nearly finished everything for the 300r and as soon as I pick up my motor from Flotek I'll get it together and and get it ready for another season of competition, here's a picture of the bike with the new +2 swinger and a link to some pictures of the portwork.

Just put together my motor today now all I'm waiting on is vf3's, a chain, airfilter and a custom intake spacer I'm going to put the motor in the bike tomorrow I'm also going to install some new OEM clutch plates but I'll let them soak in some oil for a couple days before I install them.
Heres some pictures of todays engine build and portwork pic's.

How do you like those tires?

Do you drag in the sand with them?Or snow only?

These tire's are great for going straight in dirt but are no good for powerslides I race only in dirt, Ive never tried them in snow but I know a guy from the races who took the rims off his dragger with 4snow tires and slapped them on his wifes 300ex one winter and he said he was poping wheelies and getting incredible traction in pretty deep snow.

Ok I finally got the 39mm pwk and vf3 reeds in, I made my own spacer out of an old intake boot. These bikes where just not built to accept a 39mm carb but I made it work the cable runs into the side of the frame under the tank and comes neatly down out of the frame into the top of the carb with a nice rubber boot to keep debris out. Heres some pics.

I havn't fired it up yet but I plan on doing so tomorrow, there should be a very noticeable power difference with the port work, forged piston, reeds and bigger carb I'm running.

the port work is really going to shine because of the carb!!!i had two of those bad boys, i can only imagen what the port work on the 300 will feel like. all my other cylinders were .080 over. also remeber the position of the spacer plate will change the power curve, rightnow its infront of the reed so your gaining low to mid, but if you put it between the reed and carb boot it will give you top end.

Don't idle too long, you want to warm it up, then get out and ride it to seat those rings.

The reason I run a spacer is to get the carb far enough back so it won hit the engine cases, I was told that vf3 reeds perform best without a reed spacer so I made a intake spacer to bring the carb back.

It was like 20 degrees in the garage so it took about 10 minutes or more for it to start to warm up besides I always warm up all my builds once before I ride them just to make sure everything is ok.

Waiting on a chain it shipped out yesterday, when we get some nice weather on a weekend Ill take it out and break it in so even then I wont be goosin it all sick or anything I always run at least 1 full tank of gas through my motors with rich jetting before I'll give them wot and an even longer break in period for full rebuilds but I'll let you know man when I can really get out and run it.

Well I finally took out the 300r today and broke it in and did some test runs, I was very impressed with the power increase with the new mods and I would like to thank Denny at Flotek for all the help and services he provided to me. All I need now is a small main jet adjustment and put my 4snows back on in the reverse rotation and I'll be ready to race. Thunder valley doesn't start races till may but theres another place not far from it called yellow creek raceway heres a link to their site http://www.yellowcreekraceway.net/classes.htm they started racing this weekend and they race every weekend so I may show up next weekend with the 300r if the weather is nice:D Heres a couple short vids of me doing test runs today I just couldn't hook up with the 18'' scorpions:lol:

I don't know about you but I can't stand 18s with stock gearing. It gears it down so far it hurts acceleration. Anyway nice trike man. Love the airfoolers!
