Glad I don't have an ebay store! Look at the final value fee for items over $1000!

So does this only apply if you have a ebay store? Or does it also apply to the regular "joe" seller?

I failed math so I'm not even sure what the hell this means.

Over US$1,000.01
10.00% of the initial US$25.00 (US$2.50), plus 7.00% of the initial US$25.01 – US$100.00 (US$5.25), plus 5.00% of the initial US$100.01 – US$1,000.00 (US$45.00), plus 3.00% of the remaining closing value balance (US$1,000.01-closing value)

So how much does it cost to sell say a $1500 item?

This does not effect the average Joe, only people with online stores. But to answer your question, selling a $1500.00 item would cost you 13%, or $195.00

I think your wrong in your math. I have sold stuff worth over $1000 and it wasn't near that high. While it wasn't in a "Store" the basic selling fee's are set up on the same principle.

Not sure, though I usually am wrong....lol. But to my understanding of the post, these are the new fees. 10% of the initial cost ( which would be 150 of 1500 ) Then another 3% closing fee ( which would be $45.00 of $ 1500.00 ) So, that should work out to be 195 bucks for the transaction. But, as Dammit put it, I"m not so good at math either...lol. Oh well, don't think it effects the casual seller anyway. ( I think ) :wondering

plus 3.00% of the remaining closing value balance (US$1,000.01-closing value)

Figuring a $1500 selling price we can add them up:
$2.50 ( .01 - 25.00 )
$5.25 ( 25.01 - 100.00 )
$45.00 ( 100.01 - 1000.00 )
$15.00 ( 1000.01 + )
----------------
$67.75 Total selling fee ( NOT including listing fee's )
