I have a 93 polaris xlt special 580cc, anyways ever since I bought the sled 3 years ago it always had kinda a bog just off idle, it idles at 2500 rpm, it runs great past that certain area where it bogs a bit, I cleaned the carbs, they werent dirty at all, the air cleaner is nice and clean also, the sled is completely stock, so My question is how do I make the sled more responsive?

Will it bog in that spot if you flip the choke on?...

Mine did the same thing, ran great, but bogged off idle until it got moving or got to a higher RPM. The problem was that the belt was worn out, replaced it and it runs like new!!!

Did you sincronize the carbs so that they are all(3) pulling the same air/ vacuum?

Possibly dirty clutches or you might have to change your pilot jets depending if its a lean or rich bog.

All 3 carbs need to be in perfect tune with each other for it to run its best. Sync the carbs, and go from there. I picked up a XCR 600 a few months ago, same engine as the XLT, and I got to sync mine sometime also.
