Its been a very long project but should be going soon, just got to finish off the motor. It has been bored and stroked to 180cc and will be very fast. I cant wait!

Thats pretty cool!
Definitely post some videos when it's done.

You have so many projects its awsome. Do you happen to know any good bore/stroke combos for an 200cc honda engine (83-85 200x)

You can get the honda motors out to a 70mm bore but its alot of work, you need to machine out the sleeve and put in another one that is bigger.
As for the stroke i believe that you could get them out to 66mm.
This gives a capacity of 254cc from 192cc. If you make these kind of changes you will need to add an engine breather to the cylinder head, the extra capacity cant work with the standard breater pipe, you need more. You would also need a bigger carb, something like a 33 or 35mm and the best cam you can run is a Honda XR200.

Your best bet is to buy a zongshen 200cc engine, the cylinder studs are further apart allowing you to put a bigger piston in and come standard with a 67mm piston, just add the honda crank (i think they go straight in) and you have 204cc and electric start. These motors new are about $550 australian which is almost the same US$ maybe $480 to $500US. With these motors i reckon you could get a 76mm piston AND the valves are bigger allowing more power... posibilities are endless.

ill definately get a vid of it for you guys too.

A new pic of the motor...
Cant wait!
At the moment we are sorting out the head gasket area, it wont be running one so to top of the sleeve in the cylinder needs to be matched to the head to ensure a good seal.

I need pics :pics: . Wow I just realized how old this thread is . What brand piston is it , Honda cb750 or a vanolia ?

it has a vanolia in it though i think the cb750 is better suited.
currently the vanolia is sitting about 6mm down in the bore so the compression is low but I think it would be too high if it was all the way to the top.
I think it has an ignition problem, it wouldnt rev properly but it was thrown together in 1 day so there is bound to be issues.

Well just quickly off the top of my head, this is the to-do list:
-different carby (too big)
-air filter
-Fix front tyre (one in picture is borrowed from another trike)
-make fender not touch right tyre
-stop exhaust from touching foot pegs
-new master cylinder (seized)
-new thumb throttle (borrowed one pictured)
-reduce spacer by 1.5mm to increase compression and fix oil leak at head gasket area
-fix fuel leak (possibly fuel filter is the cause)
-Tidy and check wiring
-new grips
-new fender
-Paint wheels, forks and tank
-new seat sponge and cover

Anyone else see something I missed?

I have both set ups the venolia and the cb750 and both having a 61mm stroker , both preforme very well but I do prefer the honda cb750 piston . I use a 26mm carb on mine and it runs perfect . Great motor you got their and I like the sl clutch set up over the auto clutch.

Climb dunes I think the auto is better but on a track the manual clutch is better...

awesome project you have there,i have a couple questions.
what is the bore and stroke combination your using?
im guessing the rod is not shrunk because of the spacer, did you use longer cylinder studs or machine a bunch off somewhere?

I think the studs could be from a 185 or something
bore and stroke are 61mm...

We have another motor that dad built in the 70's that he sold and has come back to him, it's 61mm bore and 66mm stroke making 190cc, that's the next rebuild
