Hello I'm not a sled guy and i'm getting a sled. i'm tryin to find out how to identify the exact model this machine is. When i look up parts theres multiple versions of this bike. I know when it comes to trikes that they have a coded model number usually involving the engine size. This sled is a 1997 Polaris Indy Xlt Special. now when i look it up on dennis kirk and other places like that there's mutiple versions. Need to know how to identify it? any help would be much appreciated thanks.

The XLT is a 600 triple. Most of the stuff on the standard sled will fit on the Special, I don't know what the "Special" means, though. Maybe just electric start or better graphics, or something like that. What are you trying to buy?
