Just bought a new chain.....

After years of riding my 200x my chain eventually gave way and its time for a new one. I bought one from Southeast sales in Milwaukee for 18 bucks. It was on backorder for a week or two so I called around and everyone want to sell me one for like 50 to 80 bucks! I asked someone why they're all so expenisve and he said that the $18 one was gonna break in like a week. So idk what to do now, will the cheap one last or should I cancel it and spent the 60?

yeah, i bought my machine for 350 bucks w/o a third gear and nuthin else really wrong, dont think im gonna spend 100 for a chain.... after all its just a toy. thanks for the tip though
