Hey guys, I just picked up a 6 wheel amphibous atv called the scrambler, looks kinda like an argo but its a 3 seater with more fiberglass. Anyways, I was wondering if any of you guys knew anything about these things, I want to make it nice again and get it rideable but I cant find much information on them. The tires seem like the ones you see on the early atc 90's all of them are shot and I need to find out what I can replace them with, figured I would post up here and see if anyone one here might happen to be familiar with them. hopefully I'll get some pics of this thing up tomorrow and thanks in advance!

Hey thanks Brian! I'll check those two sites and message John and see if he might have some advice. So do you mean you have hubs that might work, or you know where they might be? Figured I'll bring this thing to haspin this year, it can pull truck home if it breaks down again  thanks again man

Well these are the pictures of at that were on craigslist before I bought it. The only thing changed is I removed all the rivets holding the top on and started to take it all apart. there doesnt seem to be any major cracks in the fiberglass so I'm thinking it shouldnt be too far away from floating condition. The motor is a tecumeseh 11 horse 4 stroke, but I'm thinking of maybe putting in a Yamaha 440 motor or a CCW 340, not sure yet.

As you can see the tires are shot, so I'm going to work on getting a common hub found on the wheelers to fit, and then put on some agressive 22 inch swampers. as I said I'm new to this so I will probably take a bit longer than most and make a few mistakes but I'll post up some progress pics as I get them. any other 6x6 owners out there have any info/advice?

Oh and yes thats the seller's 86 Big Red in the background, its in a lot nicer shape

What do you need to know about it? I have one '69 scrambler 1200 series, 3 attex, 2 jiggers, 1 amphicat and one argo that someone ran over with a bobcat, lol.
Scramblers are cool other then the reverse option. Was electric. If yours has it and is still good then be careful backing up and dont turn in reverse. They were really ahead of there time back then, in the '70's. Nice machines.

Unfortunately I can not see the pics, but I love these things and have been on the lookout for a good deal relatively local to me, I will be looking forward to seeing some pics of yours.

6x6world is the place to go. I got a lot of help and info about my Eagle AATV from the forum admin. He answers all of the posts in the "introduce yourself here" section. Tell him what you've got and he'll help.

I agree, 6x6world.com is the BEST.

The other site is just always trying to sell you over price items that he just buys from the dealers and add $$$ to it. Not much goes on there as people learned.

Here is my newest vid. Look at all that mud. I barely get dirty.:D
