SOUTH GEORGIA CUSTOMS

some of you know a few years ago I had a auto custom shop that I owned that did very well. Of course as life throws things at you, I closed its doors, but never stop customizing just did it on the side at my little shop at my house.

Well today I must have been at the right place at the right time (does anyone know if the planets are aligned today?) Killing time trying to get ahold of clients to see there vehicles I was waiting at my freinds mechanic shop, well the owner of the shop I know great as well. We were just shooting the breez when he said, want to open up your shop? I thought he was kiding me, but they have an extra 2 large bays with office at the other end of there building that they dont use (enought to fit 3-5 cars in at a time) then I was like I cant, I have my job and cant do all the work to make it worth it.. Well second part of the day kicks in now..

Next door to this shop is a failing body shop (he just dosnt stay there enought to do anything) and a girl who got screwed over working there is now at my freind mechanic shop working (they felt bad for her and have been helping her out) well Ive seen her work and she does a really good job. Well she fel into the conversation and the owner and her said for her to work at the shop full time ( on a commision basis of course) So now in a matter of a few minutes got my shop back and a full time employee that is trustworthy!

In 2 weeks time I will be moving all my equipment down there and she is acutally starting working for me tomorow! (got a line up out here allready) I know I got the business ( I turn away at least 4-5 jobs per week) plus they have body and paint work that is needed. And with a full time employee working, I can continue at my current job and go there and do the paint work! awesome!!

And the kicker is if the other shop goes under, this owner will aquire that shop and I will move into a full size shop!!! FREAKIN SWEET!!

I honestly thought I would never get my business up and running again more than what it is now!!

Hey, good for you buddie!! This is OBVIOUSLY your passion, and living that is living the dream. I wouldn't be too surprised if you end up on TV in years to come. And it's all based on YOUR talent :w00t:

dude man.... that was awesome what you just said! you made my day more than you think! Ive always felt held back, I've gave up alot of opportunities to go west and do this work but I stayed here to take care of my dad and be somewhat close to my daughter, only to struggle to do this type of work.

congrats man! hope it all works out for ya, and i hope you make lots of fat cash!

i know how hard body work is.......we've built 2 rods, both have come in the top 10 of the country at the goodguys national car show in columbus, OH. were talkin 3-4000 cars at this annual show!
http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n313/NightBiker07/40chevytruckdaddid.jpg

that pic doesnt flatter the car, but maybe someone recognizes it from a article in the popular TRUCK BUILDER magazine. it was a 3 page article in april of 2005. that piece of crap came to us in 60 some rusty azz pieces
from left to right, thats my dad and the owner of the truck.
