I found a nice 1990 quadracer for sale in my area. This one has power valves and the "T" shaped seat. Could someone tell me how these compare to the older 1st generaton quadracers in ways other than what i said? Does anyone know the compresson ratio for a 1990 quadracer or something close? Thanks

i raced a 89 lt250 for years in A class mx (1990 is the same) and they can be real runners and are extremely reliable bikes.

175psi sticks in my head but i ran 220-240psi

Five bolt rear wheels (5/130), axle on 88-92 will accomidate New LTR450 hubs and widen track a bit and give you common bolt pattern.

Can't come up with anything else, I've not owned an 85-86, or 87 for that matter so I don't know. I agree with swingin, they are reliable and plenty fast enough to compete against the new 450s on a cross country track, only thing is the old design suspension will beat you to death, compared to the newer machines.

If the price is right, get it, it'll be a fun addition.

The newer swingarm is stronger, the front shocks are longer, the a-arms are wider, 6spd vs. 5spd, the cylinder reed engine has way more potential... All the stock Lt's(in good condition) I have tested have been over 155psi...
