Is it true that the beer sold in the USA doesn't show the % of alcohol on the bottles? I also heard that the % of alcohol is less than the beer sold in Canada. For example the Budweiser sold in Canada is 5%, Coors light 4%, Some other beers 5.5% to 6.1%. A group of student from my college did a school trip in Texas to visit farms and agricultury school and they told me they drink beer in USA like water. What do you think?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't show that alcohol content on beer, other liquor it does though. I'm not supposed to know, though (only 18 )

And yeah, I know a lot of guys who will drink like 10 beers and have no difference in their cognitive abilities, speech, etc.

In one month, I will be able to drink legally in USA if I went there. But in Quebec, I can legally drink since i'm 18 y.o.

I remember 26-27 years ago when Ohio had 2 types of beer 3.2% and 6%. You had to be 18 to get 3.2% and 21 to get 6%. I sure it was listed on every container. Then they changed the drinking laws and you had to be 21 to drink and they did away with 3.2% ( so they said ). lol

What are you trying to say? you think some of us need to cut back? lol I remember back when going out and only having 10 beers must mean you had to work the next day. Those were the days. hehe

In Kansas you can by both 3.2 and 6%. All cans here say it on them.

You can buy 6% beer at Liquor stores.

Grocery stores, quick shops, Walmart all sell 3.2%.

Here you can only buy hard liquor in liquor stores.

The local states around here all seem to have a few diferent rules about alcohal sales.

I agree with Howdy on the only 10 beers must have to work early next day.

some states do have lower alcohol percentages...florida for example. most light beers in the US are around 4%, regular beers around 5%. most microbrews that I find are either 5% or 8+.

and ten beers...lol.

okay, 1 pitcher of beer is 4.3 pints. so...70 ounces, which is about 6 "beers", so if you go out and drink 3-4 pitchers...and you're fine, what does that mean?

it means you're a fat guy with a high tolerance who just so happens to be in college. I never thought of that before, but pitchers of beer add up.

Just 10 beers?

35yo, maybe 10-15lbs. overweight, and not in college. I average between two and three 30-packs a week.

twas the sentence after that that needed attention dixieboy... 4x6=24 beers. :beer I was saying 18-24 beers and having nothing more than a buzz, not drinking ten beers. ten beers, that's only like a gallon of beer.

that's kind of odd that we can't buy 30 packs in louisiana...we do have 10oz cans though, which is a feat of beer engineering, a 10oz can will never get hot on ya.

Alabama's alcohol laws generally vary from one county/municipality to another, though some laws are statewide. The biggest single-container we can buy here is 16-oz., and only recently have we been able to get draft beer or get kegs filled anywhere other than going about 70-miles away. I live in a dry county also.

I saw a 660-oz.(equal to 55-12-oz.) Bud Light "party ball" the other night for $32, and right around Christmas I started seeing 36-packs of BL.

Well I must be an Alcoholic-anorexia. I can sit down any friday or sat night and drink a dozen beer. But if I go out drinking I'll drink that dozen before I head out to the clubs. I have drank over a 24 in a night. Now I was plastered then tho. A dozen only gives me a buzz. A half, geezs... I'll drink that on a weeknight watching a movie going to bed and get up 5:30 to go to work. I say anorexia because I am 198 pounds and 6 foot 1 inches tall.
