Im picking up a 1986 Suzuki Quadrunner 250 4x4 for very cheap. I have a couple of questions. First, what is the code name (for lack of a better term) for this quad? Is it LT250EF? Because on mrcycles, thats all i can find listed for a 250 quad other than the quadracer.

Also, in general, how are these machines? Reliable? Any known issues with them?

Thanks

yep, thas the one. Got it for $250. It actually wasnt too bad. Plastics are beat, but other than that, everything is strait and tight. No play in anything. Everything works except the cdi. starter motor turns the motor over fine and there are no noises. We'll see what happens when I get it home and pick up a cdi for it.

Well, I don't know about that one specifically, but I have 2 ALT125's from 83 that have been sitting for a combined 20 years or so, and after some minor cleanup, they started right up without problem. Except my dads, which is why I'm doing a top-end rebuild, but that's because he ran it in the water a lot.
