Hmmm, I have a huge box truck for work and I drive it everywhere cuz he pays for diesel. Otherwise, just a TOY 4x4 for social crap.
Dad taught me a long time ago that a vehicle is for transportation only. If I have to impress someone with a vehico - they aren't worth my time..............

I have a 1988 Chevy Silverado, ext cab, long bed. Its pretty much stock except for a grille guard and the entire front clip has been replaced with new stuff. Daily driver and runs great at 278,000 miles.
Project cars are:
1995 BMW 318i, immaculate condition, but the motor blew a headgasket. Pretty much stock except for the stereo and exhaust (4-1 header :naughty: ) After I get it running again ill probably sell it, id rather have the truck. 151,000 miles.
1978 Chevy Cheyenne Stepside, modifying the frame to accept a straight axle in the front so itll be 4wd instead of 2. Has a factory tach. Motor and 700r4 tranny and t-case out of an 83 suburban, also stole the rear heater out of it, which will be put in the bed with a topper so it will have a heated bed.
Past cars ive owned were:
2 - 1985 Honda CRX's, one my dad bought brand new, the other I bought for 200$, fixed it up a bit and sold it for around 600$. Fun cars but way underpowered and I didnt like the fact there was no rear seats.
1985 Chevy S-10 Blazer, had no title, mirrors, turnsignals, headlights, licence plates, windshield had a million cracks, front axle leaked badly, shifter on the top of the 5 speed tranny was removable (its not supposed to be) drivers door wouldnt open, started with a screwdriver, was basicly a ditch beater. The little beast would go ANYWHERE and I NEVER had any part break the whole time I owned it. It didnt use any oil, and ran great. Front bumper was badly twisted until one day we jumped the highway with it doing 40 mph, it came down and hit the bumper and straightened it out perfectly. I really regret selling it....
1991 Chevy S-10 Blazer, got this pile from the neighbors for free, replaced the drivers door (dented), passenger fender (rusted out so bad that it was literally only the 'frame' of the fender remaining, which was strange because the rest of the body was almost perfect), put some 30" tires on it, replaced the rear window, and eventually sold it off to pay for my truck. Odometer had 315,000+ miles and it still ran great on its original engine and tranny, neither have been touched.
There have been others like a 1982 Subaru and a 1980's Mazda, little 4 door beater cars that arent really worth mentioning. I know ive forgotten like half the cars ive owned, and im only 16. :D

1st My 1992 Lexus sc400, awesome work car, everything works perfect, sunroof, power tilt & telescope, cruise, a/c, runs like a scalded dog.
2nd My wifes 2001 Yukon XL. She loves it, I'm not much on suv's.
3rd My 2007 3500 dually 4x4, 6.7 ltr Cummins, exhaust brake, 6 speed auto. Got enough tools to tear down anything, welder/generator soon to come, compressor is a 7hp diesel with a 3 stage compressor that pumps 22cfm at 140 psi. Nice thing is this pickup pays for itself and supports the toy fund, I work on Caterpillar equipment on my Fridays off.

Well, my daily driver consists of a 2002 3500 Dually, and a TRX200D. I work for a power utility company here, and I do field Data collection on the entire power grid for the Nashville Metro area, so I actually get paid to ride a 4 wheeler all day. I really have to fight the urge to take the X's out and work with them, but that wouldn't turn out good.

Here is my transportation, a 1990 Honda civic LX. Nothing fancy but all I need is something to last me for another year or two, it has been serving it purpose. Fist pic is the day after I got it when I was going through cleaning. I paid $150 for it non running, good deal considering a fiend of a fiend is a Honda mechanic and knew what the problem, a recalled ignition module, so after a week I had a $150 running car, great! I put it on the road and the next day the tranny went. That’s were pic 2 comes it, it sat like that for 2 months ion the garage while I pulled the tranny, put a used tranny in, pulled the used incorrect tranny, then finally put in the old tranny after the same mechanic friend rebuilt it. So much for the cheap car, now it is a car with a rebuilt tranny, new tires, brakes, cv shafts, ect. for about $1600. Now I have a small gas leak at the tank seam, I should have just bought that Ranger.....

See my own quote below so you don't sound ignorrant anymore.
WHAT??? are you crazy? how do you figure?
Yes, along with a lot of other Ford fans in the world that refuse to hear the truth
before a brawl starts about that cummins/ford nonsense...
Too late, I was ticked before I read your response.
LISTEN UP FORD FANS, HERE'S THE TRUTH ABOUT FORD'S INVOLVEMENT WITH CUMMINS. READ IT AND SHUT UP ABOUT FORD OWNING CUMMINS.
This is a post I made when this oh-so-favorite topic came up AGAIN on this board and the same thing was said by 300rman:
Before this goes any further, let me clarify the Ford-Cummins connection. (deep breath) Ford, in 1990, bought LESS THAN 10% OF STOCK in Cummins (1.3M shares), as they were (and still are) using Cummins engines as an option in their medium and heavy-duty truck lines. Cummins is its own company, and has always been under its express control. Chrysler approached Cummins to use their 6BT and later 6BTA engines in their pickups when the need for a light-duty diesel pickup arose in the US market. Yes, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks are considered light duty. Chrysler had previously used Mitsubishi 6DR5 diesels in the 78-79 models in an attempt to exploit their fuel mileage, but they were very underpowered and never sold well, so they were dropped. Mitsubishi built the Ram 50 pickup for Dodge, and the two companies have been partners since the early seventies, so the Mitsu diesel was a natural choice at the time. The 6B engine family was never designed to go in a pickup. It was designed to be a heavy-duty service engine for use in boats, forklifts, generators, etc. As a matter of fact, we have several 36,500lb forklifts here with 6BT engines in them. They just happened to have the power characteristics that Chrysler was looking for, and they fit in their engine bays, so a deal was struck. Back to the Ford rumor, they only owned shares, but later sold them back to Cummins in January of 1997. The day after Ford was bought out, Cummins' shares actually ROSE $1.25, closing at $46 on 04JAN97. Ford has never had any contolling interest in Cummins and they never will. Sorry for the novel, but this subject pisses me off to no end because it's been nearly eleven years since the buy-out and this rumor still won't die.

Mine is an '88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe and '88 Ranger GT. I'm jealous on both accounts, Gt rangers are non existant around here and a decent turbo coupe will run you $2000.
Currently daily driving a 1997 ranger ext cab (http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i11/turbosprunt/Ranger/P2050024.jpg?t=1203783933) step side, nice looking truck but useless for hauling anything but groceries.

1985 s-10 4x4 2.8, gonna clean it up and this will be my new daily driver, atleast I can fit something in the box!

Basically its an Eclipse AWD in a four door sedan's clothing. It put down 390awhp on 93 octane pump gas with the stock intake manifold, on a stock shortblock, and through the exhaust. It ran an 11.9@116 on the stock intake in full street trim with a baby seat in the back. There are some very confused V-8 owners in my area since I built this car 4 years ago.
I also have a 1996 Dodge 2500 diesel 4x4 5 speed but I don't have any pics of it on my PC. I did some work to it too, bigger turbo, home made fuel plate, injector timing advanced, 5" turbo back exhaust, 4,000 rpm rev kit, and some other goodies as well. It pulls the 16x8 trailer without blinking an eye whether its full of trikes or my Galant.

HAHA!! Honestly, that's not even that much, there are many guys making 500 at the wheels with a stock short block on a good tune and on race gas. I've got the dyno sheet here for mine if you really want to see it I can post it tomorrow. I've gotta go to bed. ChrisD has been in it, he'll tell you how well it goes. ;)

John
I'm jealous:drool:  . I like these Mitsubishi. It's the perfect sleeper. On completely stock trim, do you know your E.T. I'm interested also to see your dyno chart.
I never knew they did a galant with that drivetrain combo....very nice man!, im currently trying to get a later model s-14 (98) here locally very nice shape other then the color red.

needless to say...that's one very potent drivetrain with the right mods.
buddy of mine just added another turbo to his eclipse...that thing is scary fast. 9mpg though...

He needs to do some tuning or the MPG figure is skewed by him mashing the gas down all the time. I took mine out to Gettysburg, PA for a Galant meet last year and it got over 25mpg going strictly highway in the same trim it went 11's. If I can control myself and keep my foot out of it it'll get 20-22mpg using it as a commuter but super is so much more expensive than regular I got an old Dodge Shadow to commute in.
If I get over to my in-law's house I can probably scan it in there. In completely stock trim they go low 15's. You can get it into the 13's with basic bolt ons like a manual boost controller, exhaust, and maybe an upgraded fuel pump. You can do that for under $500 if you spend wisely and do the work yourself.

Honda stuff can be fun. I miss my b18a integra...
Current lineup:
92 K1500 dark red 4x4 ext. cab TB350/built 700r4 32" tires and some dumb cosmetic stuff
93 Camry 4 cam V6 with 315,000 miles. Runs super quiet, smooth and still pulls hard
(both daily drivers)
Project:
83 Ford Mustang convertible 5.0/T-5. Runs strong. Motor needs some TLC. I'm just finishing up floorpans and chassis bracing (rust) and redoing brakes. Eagle alloys, dark purple  should be fun...

what's so hard to believe about those hp figures? hell...a decent B16 will throw down some figures like that easy....not a drop of torque though. same guy with the eclipse had a lil civic with a b16 turboed. sat so damned low...you could almost put your cigarette out on the road. lol.

The current fleet is the following ; 1999 Chevy Malibu (wifes ride, soon to be the boys) Going to order a SRT8 Challenger for "her" lol as soon as they start putting 6 speeds in them.
2002 GMC 3500 Sierra 4x4 crew cab dually, Regency conv, Duramax (K&N FIPK, 4" exhaust and a Predator tuner) love the truck will never buy a gas truck again
1991 Chevy 2500 Suburban with the HD towing package original CA truck
1968 Plymouth GTX bought from the original owner 20+ years ago. 440 auto building a 500" stroker and is going to be converted to a 5 or 6 speed stick. Danimal95 has me set on a turbo setup for it before I put the stick in it.
1982 Mercury Capri, was a 6cyl auto car is now a 5.0. Had an AOD auto before Danimal95 blew up about 3 T5's and brought over about 2 shopping carts full of parts. Now its a T5. It has an 86 GT front plastic and hood, hood has an original 69 Cobra Jet hoodscoop. It has late fox body doors with power windows and locks. A 83 Mustang Anniversary hatch with the 3 piece rear spoiler. All that came from Danimal95's 86 GT. The 5.0 has aluminum GT40 heads and an old school Torker that turns the carb about 25 degrees off center. A big cam, Jet Hot coated 2" long tube headers, Mr.Gas 2.5" x pipe, 2.5" 2 chamber Flowmasters, 2.5" exhaust with polished stainless tailpipes and chrome Saleen valvecovers from Danimal95. A tubular K member, SVO Mustang 73mm Calipers with 90 GT 11" rotors. I just picked up a 4 lug rear disc brake setup. I was going to go SN95 5 lug setup but i've got 3 sets of nice 4 lug wheels. I've taken the console out of the interior and have a set of 86 GT Halo seats from...... in it.
When I get time I'll try to post some pics of some of these and some of my past fleet which included a 69 Dodge Super Bee, 68 Dart 383 GTS, 70 Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack 4 speed Dana 60 Super Trac Pack car, 68 IH Scout, 73 Dart Sport 360, 75 2wd Suburban 454, 87 Monte Carlo SS, 87 Dodge Shadow Turbo, 87 GMC full size Jimmy with a 1 ton drivetrain in it.

man some sweet mopars in the "past line up" needs pics of the BB dart!!! me and my dad were going to go big block in his 68 but figured a stroked small block turing 7k would fit in that tiny engine bay bet:beer ter
skram420
03-05-2008, 10:56 PM
Yeah a small block fits way better and now that you can stroke them out to 440 ci. thats is the way to go. The Dart was a factory 383 GTS 4 spd with a small bolt pattern 8 3/4 rear end. They had a specific block that had the motor mounts in a different location and used different exhaust manifolds. I look at the list of past rides and the cars I passed on buying when I was younger and think if I had them now I could live like a fat rat for the rest of my life. I actually passed on buying a 427sc Cobra for $5000. A real Cobra. It was a frame and body with everything else in boxes. It would go for 6 figures in that same shape today.

Heres my toy. Its 1995 BMW 540i. Its one of 1357 6 speed manuals. Has a Dinan chip, intake, short shifter, straight pipes, H&R suspension, 18" ADR wheels with 255s on the back and 225s on the front. Makes somewhere around 300hp at the crank. Nothing super fast but it def gets out of its own way and it super comfy, especially on long trips. Its off the road now and is next up to go under the knife...FI here i come :naughty:
My daily driver is a 1995 Ford Ranger 4x4 5 speed. Its just the 2.3 and is slow as balls but it gets 25mpg no problem and gets me through almost anything. I want to put in a small lift and maybe do 31s. Its already slow so and I dont want to re-gear it so im limited to how big i can go.
This is my bike. Its a 2006 Suzuki GSXR 600. Leo Vince moto gp style pipe and a few other do-dads. Fast as trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro and handles like a dream.

Beautiful! I love M3s, it doesn't matter what year. They are a true performance drivers car. I remember racing against them at PIR 11 years ago, they will outhandle cars twice their price.
Here's my POS. 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. I bought it new, boy what a waste of money. It's typical GM BS, but it's mine. I love the look of these things and I'm a huge fan of the 3800 engines (they'll go well over 200,000 miles). I've put on custom 2.5" dual catback exhaust (no cat, 3" "offroad" downpipe, dual 4" Apex-i resonators), reflashed ECM, a real "cold air intake" with a K&N, ported heads, extrude honed manifolds, KYB sport struts on all 4 corners, Intrax springs, drilled and slotted EBC rotors all the way around with ceramic pads, and a 2.93 diff.
The best mileage I've gotten with it was 37 mpg on the interstate at 75 mph. I average around 32 mpg with it. I've tried quite few different variations to get this kind of mileage. The OEM tranny took a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro at 65,000, thanks GM! The stock stereo is garbage. The upper bushings on the struts crapped out at around 53,000, and the body is about as thick as an aluminum pop can (lean on it and it will be permanently dented).
It does handle very well for a car of it's size (of course it's been modded), very spacious on the inside and comfortable, it's easy to work on (you can crawl under the hood), the aluminum subframe is very lightweight and rigid. This thing was actually built in Canada (that explains a lot). It's does have decent power for what it is and the fuel economy after the mods is a nice bonus. I don't think I'll ever sell this car, I'm not proud of it but I don't hate it, it has character and it serves me well. It's been paid off for years and that's pretty much money in the bank. All in all, it's my car, and I love to hate it. Someday I will buy an M3 and beat the ever living hell out of it on the track, but I'll always have my Monte.
This is my ute 2001 ford falcon xr8 5sp manual 302 windsor built a custom tray for it.That xr8 cut out in the head board has 2 led lights behind it and lights up at night.Heres a couple pics of buildin the tray and when it was finished? All the way from downunder.

Beautiful car.
My list
1968 coronet R/T Track pack car 440 4 speed with the standard dana 60 that came in all 440 and hemi 4 speed cars. (all numbers matching) currently on the rotisserie.
1969 Road Runner 383 4 speed (date coded engine but not original :() Also on the rotisserie for the past 17 years
1976 Dart Sport (use to be a drag car bought I ripped the cage and trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro out and made it a street car again) Currently running a roller 440 triple deuce setup (hence my name being Jayk4406) also sporting a dana 60 (rear end came from a B-Body but I just moved the spring perches a little bit and fits perfect)
1985 mustang GT 5.0 5 spd. Put in a B303 cam, edelbrock performer rpm high rise intake, bumped up to a 750 holly carb. used heads off an 88 5.0 (ported polished and a valve job), installed a posi 355 rear end and luke race clutch (But the guy that built the motor didnt change the rear main seal and my race clutch was wrecked. Upgraded the ignition and added some mac shorty headers and ripped that whack ass Y pipe exhaust and upgraded to an H pipe from an 86 stang.
2006 Mustang GT all stock with 3200 KMS (lol damb canadians) I'm thinking this ones going in the spring to make room for one of them new 11 stangs with 412 horse :D
RECENTLY SOLD
1974 Gold duster 318 colum shift Came from arizona 99.9% rust free. (sold to a guy that changed the front end and cloned it to a 70 340 duster.
1968 Satellite 383 auto. Silver, 100% rust free but the frame was SLIGHTLY bent (sitting in heated storage since 1975) all the body panels were replaced with NOS parts before I purchased it. The drivers side fender was off a 69 road runner though. Guy bought it and made him self a RR clone.

Yea it was a nice truck i had alot of money into it. It was fresh out of paint in that pic, thats why its missing the bowtie emblem and the billet grill wasnt on it yet. My dad bought that truck off of me to give to my younger brother when i got my 07. One day my brother went to an A's game in Oakland, parked it outside and it got stolen, and we never heard anything about it again.

Techno, Daytona was on the earlier M's. I had an E34 Wagon and I miss it to this day, I sold it cause it didn't have AC and was starting to have some issues. I hope to find a clean E34 525iT again, I'm a sucker for the E36 M3's though, this is my 3rd one haha.

I have a 92 Chevy S10 that I've been driving since it was brand new. It's ready for a custom restore, but for now it's still my daily driver. All original 2.8 V6 still running great, 5 speed manual, 173,000+ original miles and I still love it as much now as I did then. Got me through high school, many jobs, college, many vacations and the first 7+ years of my career. If you're wondering about the low miles on a daily driver, its cause it only got 24k put on it from 92 - 97 and when I got the TA in 2005 I ended up driving that more than I should have.
Which brings me to my 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air WS6, 6 speed, red on black leather and t-tops. 69,000+ original miles that I picked up in 2005 with 36,000 miles on it. Bolt-on's include K&N FIPK, Hypertech Max Energy Programmer and Borla cat-back exhaust. Royal Purple in the drive-train. Fun car to drive.
Also had a 1988 Mustang GT w/ t-tops that I was sad to see go to the yard...R.I.P. blacky.

I had a 95 S-10, single cab 4x4 with the 4.3l V6. It was the stripped down model with the 5 speed. It was the best truck I ever had. I could out wheel any normal full size truck on the dunes, and it could fit down the quad trails. Frank the Tank was his name.

Whats up guys! Man, I haven't been around here in a while.
My car lineup has changed quite a bit...
1995 BMW 318i - Engine was rebuilt, became a daily driver but now I think itll be parked for a bit to catch up on some much needed maintainence (brake/suspension work).
1988 Chevy Silverado 2500 - Got a rebuilt engine, trans, and was taken apart for a 3500 frame swap, and flatbed conversion. Should be finished up this summer, and back into DD status
1993 Dodge Dakota LE - Got it from my neighbor for free, he was just going to haul it to the junkyard since some kids siphoned the gas and it wouldnt start. Needed major brake work and a serious tune up, but it ran (barely!). Has a 318 V8, 6" lift, 31's, and Ive fixed it up pretty good. Its my current DD now.
1978 Chevy 4x4 - Just a plain, barebones Chevy truck. Original engine with 10 million miles (ok, not really, but close! haha). My dad bought it in '84 I think, and its kind of my full size mud truck now. Been to hell and back and she keeps on going. Traded my 1983 Chevy Blazer to my dad for it.
1967 Camaro RS - Picked this up from a guy who collected old project cars and was forced to sell out. Needs a full restoration, but is suprisingly nearly rust free, which is rare for an Alaskan car. Waiting on shop space to work on it, probably wont get around to it for a few years at least.
1950 Chevrolet 3100 pickup - My dad's old truck from when he was a kid. He had 2 or 3 of them, one was stolen and this was hidden away in the woods for 30+ years. I traded him my ATC70 for it, and drug it out and cleaned it up. Needs major work, but Ive got everything planned out. Going to use a Ford Explorer as a chassis, hopefully a 327 SBC, and I already have a Camaro Z28 T5 waiting for it. Hoping to get the body on the frame this summer.
1966 Ford Mustang coupe - Nothing special, has an 80s Mustang 200ci and 3 speed trans. Hauls ass but doesnt stop very well. It was some guy's restoration project that was vandalized somewhere around 15 years ago, and it sat ever since. I got it on trade for some work I did, I dont really have the time or money for it so it will be up for sale this summer. Cool thing was, after 15 years, I just cleaned off the points, dumped some gas down the carb, and she fired right up! Can't beat these old straight 6's!
1961 Chevy Corvair Monza - Bought this at the end of last summer because it was fairly cheap and the body was in pretty good shape, which is unheard of with any Corvair. It appears to be someone's old hot rod, came up from California, has headers, 5 lug conversion, 65-67 110hp engine, some engine mods and conversions (alt, belt pulleys, etc), and is lowered 3". It needs a new head and the engine rebuilt, I was planning on doing this over the winter but other things came up. I don't think Ill be able to get to it soon and I want to finish some other projects first, so it will probably be for sale along with the Mustang.
1998 Ford Explorer - Eddie Bauer, 5.0, fully loaded. Too bad its getting parted! I bought this one just to part it out. Going to sell the body, engine, and trans, and use the chassis under the 1950 Chevy truck. 2wd, 4 wheel disc brakes, IFS, rack and pinion steering, 5 lug, setup for a V8 from the factory, should make for a badass hot rod chassis!
