I got my new AutoChoke, but that didn't help the problem.
Turns out that wasn't my problem, because both chokes extend the needle when hooked up to 12 volts.
I guess i should have checked that first...
(Anybody need a choke ?)

Anyway, i called E-ton Technical Service again.
He said maybe i should rebuild the carb.
Also check the compression.
And, he said that it could be he CDI box. But you can't check the CDI box, and it costs about $90. So much for troubleshooting...

Hmm, what to do, this is getting frustrating, and i hate 2-strokes to begin with.

Still doesn't make sense that it runs fine....for a total of 1 minute, then shuts off.

I have a dxl 90 that my daughter rides and we were having that problem. The local shop cleaned the carb and that did the trick... I ride a Grizzley 660 that was doing the same thing because the carb jets were gummed up do to old gas. You might check that, I also have the post on brake shoes Know any gaeneric that would fit?

Could be the coil, a lot of times when they go bad they will act this way, but they don't go bad very often.
