one mod you might want to do is the oil squirt mod for the crank bearing. 2004-2006 dont get mutch oil to the bearing and the motor tends to blow. 2007 and up come from the factory with the squirt mod. thought i would give you a heads up. ;) if you go to yfzcentral there is alot of usefull info on that mod.

heres my 06, by the way, she is foresale too.

Kintore
04-10-2008, 10:24 PM
I love them, BUT i think it would be way too much site bite for a trike IMO. Ive already 2 wheeled it bad hard cornering and im leaning like im on a trike.

Wish me luck!
First race tomorrow at 9 30.....

Pics/Results/Track layout to come.

Kintore
04-13-2008, 06:02 PM
Well, ill start out with the track layout...

Main holeshot to a sweeper left hander, into a tight right hander over a big ass single. Then a tight right to the whoops, sweeper right to a 40 double, right turn to a straight away with a a 35 double at the end, big sweeper left over a large single. Straight away to 5th gear then a TIGHT right hander and another straight away to a knarly left hander. After that came a massive tabletop(bikes couldnt clear it!) then a massive sweeper to a 60 table.

The new yfz is a holeshot machine, i love it!

so the first moto-
rolled it off a 60 table first race, was in 4th, ended up in last, after i came to my senses i was off the track and disoriented as hell so i was a DNF pretty much

and the 2nd moto i was in 4th as well and got pushed into a 4foot high sand berm(damn bikes), so i bottomed out and got stuck, ended up last (23rd) and got pissed and passed to 14th by the end and ended up with a 19th outa 23rd overall or something

Gripper seat, and fox floats and arms and deffo a priority.

Riding a trike really helped in the turns though, i was staying with ltrs all done up with a stock width and stock suspended bike

how would you rate that 4 stroke with the raw power of that duncan motor?

you still racin that trike? that would kick ass if you could run that trike with the quads and whip their asses lol.

lol Yea, but stupid Ontario wont allow him to run his trike  We were saying that he should hop on Casper and try it out, haha

You did good for your first actual race Ball, little different riding a trike for what, 4-5 years than coming to 4 wheels and 4 stroke. Would have done a lot better too if it wasnt for the fricken 2' deep ruts and the soft sand with 18's on the rear :wondering

Next race I'll be sure to get some pictures so you can post em up on here and what not and you taking the win!
