Well, I was sick of driving around a toyota avalon and borrowing my dads truck when i wanted to go riding, so I went out and bought a truck.

Here are the specs

04 GMC Sierra 1500 Short Bed Extended Cab
5.3 V8 Automatic
4x4 Push Button Controls
Z71 Off Road Package
Towing Package
17 " Factory Wheels
Leather
Power Windows, Seats, Mirrors
Heated Memory Seats and Mirrors
Drivers Information Center with Steering Wheel Controls
Stock Radio with 6 CD Changer, XM Radio Ready
Bose Speaker System
Dual Digital Climate Control

Basically its loaded. The moment I saw this truck I knew I was going to buy it. I found the original window sticker, and it was over 39k.

The amount of miles isnt too bad, 66k. Gas mileage averages 15-16 on the information center. Thats a mix of highway and city driving.

They were asking 19k on the sticker, and i got them down to 17k even. Got 7500 in trade for my 03 avalon. Its well worth the money spent.

What do you guys think? This is a trikefest mobile for sure. I cant believe what condition it is in for the miles on it. Its really clean all around. Still shines up nice.

I want to pull the bed liner out and put a bedrug in, new bedrails on, and a truxedo deuce tonneau cover on.

Mike

I love my BedRug. Only thing that sucks about them is if you ever haul firewood. The splinters/bark sticks and is kind of hard to get out.

If I were you I would look into getting Line-x instead of Rhino. Everyone I know that has rhino says it doesnt hold up and has faded brown. I have line-x and love it. Granted it is more expensive then rhino liner but its great i paid i think 175 more for my line-x then what rhino would have cost and the dealer was closer. Not to knock on anything that anyone has but I wouldnt go with the bed rug...just my opinion.

Bedrug, Rhino, Line-X, it just depends on what you're going to use it for. Bedrug's are not heavy duty liners. I got one because when I go riding I camp using a truck tent in the back of my Ram. The Bedrug makes the surface of the bed flat and gives it some padding which makes camping in the bed of the truck a hundred times more comfortable. It's easy to clean and easily removed if you ever need to take it out.

It's a nice city truck!I dought it will see the real work that real trucks see.I would save your money for that 1985 250R that will make edog cry more.

No I totally agree Dammit, all depends on what you wanna do with your truck and what your budget is. I would never wanna lay in the bed for an extended period of time without an egg coushin so the rug would add padding. I wouldnt say I use my truck for work but the few times I have, I loved how the liner held up and held things in place. They really do prevent things from shifting around.

nice truck but i told you to get a tundra......

DeePa

yeah i know, but tundras were more expensive also.

im happy with the gm, its everything i wanted in a truck.

i dont have any worries about how it will hold up. It wont get abused like a work truck so thats a plus.

personally, my .02 is for the spray in liner. You do get what you pay for. Line-X isn't cheap, but the highest of quality that I know of.

I agree maggies. It really is true, you get what you pay for. But if you cant afford the line x, rhino also has the life warranty so i guess you cant go to wrong with it

yeah i heard you stopped by hahahah

as for the bedrug, i put one in a few months ago. So far is has 3 yards of mulch, and 3 spearate 1 yard loads of loam in there, and after a powerwashing, its still nice and clean. PLus its a great place to nap during a break while riding

If you want do-it yerself for a liner, I've had herculiner in my last 2 trucks. All the work is in prepping the surface, probably $100 for the full size. Mine never faded either.
