Hey,

Im new to these forums and was looking for some advice and information. My brother and i have been given an old Suzuki road bike (not sure of model or year) and are planing on converting it into a three wheeler. Once converted and all working, were going to race it in the dirt drags in Beverly where my dad competes in the tractor pulls.

Anyway, before we got the bike, it had been sitting out in someones yard in the open, we had it in a shed for about a year and didnt get around to even touching it. Condtion wise, its not great, but after a few hours spend, the 4 cylinder air cooled TSCC motor now runs. Surprisingly, all the electrics (all lights etc) minus the horn also work. Not that they'l be used.

My brother who is older than me has a few ideas of the main conversion, but we are in need of a quad or 3 wheeler axle. Once we have one along with some bearings, we believe we can mod the swing arm (including extending) to suit.

So i was wondering if anyone had any recomendations for an axle etc, of any information on what i could do about obtaining 1?

Anyway heres a couple of :pics: -

All but the last pic were taken when we first started work on it so it was still coverered in spider webs and c***. The last image was on the day we got it running.

Mite i add, it is not intended to be for show, just for a bit of fun. Looks dont concern me

Cheers

We did a similar conversion in Votec school. Honda CB350 bike. We used a entire ATC200S rear end on it, with torches, and a welder, anything is possible. We used the entire rear end, carrier, axle, rims, everything. I wish I had more pics of it, but this is the only one I have. Its up at my buds right now in the weeds:( . If I remember to next time I'm up there, I'll get pics of the rear end and post em up.

Sweet that'l be great. From that pic it looks pretty nice.

I spoke to a guy i kno on the weekend who has done many similar conversions and he gave me a bit of advice. Their is an Edge Buggy shop near here and he said just to go have a look at what they have in their. They apparently have a heap of buggy axles and wheels that will suit. He got a pair or rims and nice chunky tires for $400 AUD

But the pics will still be a great help

I welded the whole carrier right onto the bikes swingarm. It was pretty easy.

Looks good. If i can get a hold of a whole rear assembly, then thats wat we'l do, but at the moment, i cant seem to find 1.
