250x/350x just picked up! (project)

So i was sitting around bored nothing to do...was looking at our local traders guide and seen a thing that said 250x frame w/350x motor for $250 so i gave the guy a call being it had a 350x motor in it. talked to him and he told me what it was and said he had a 250x frame with 250x motor in it as well. would sale both for 400...so i went and took a look at them and i when i seen it was like like frame and a motor! almost a complete quad! told him i would take it and hes like see anything on the other one that you could use he went and got his tools and took some parts off it for this one! two sets of front plastic. Im going to put a carb and that tank on it tomorrow to see if i can get it running he said the motor ran..

I had one of these before and i don't remember the front end being so wide... are those 400ex aarms and shocks?

Definatly a nice score, Looks like it has 400ex shocks and maybe aarms? Or someone might have flipped the wheels for a wider offset.

Is the 393 big bore from powroll any good with the 10.5:1 piston? reliable? or should i just go without the big bore and just put a high compression piston in it? i got this quad for my gf but want to make it get up and go as well. any info would be nice.. Thanks!

looks like 400ex or R a arms with fliped wheels

id just build a 350cc motor for starters....bump the comp to 10.25 and throw a cam and some head work to it and it will run

thanks Swigin was hoping you would reply. Im going to tear it down today and see if i can get it running in couple weeks... prob going to paint the frame pink as well :confused: its orange right now

someone said this might be a 350x rear end. is it? it has spacers on both sides of the swingarm

the chain slider mounts look like 350x....250x slider mounts are close together

useing a 350x swingarm was done alot and it is longer then a 250x arm but its less then a inch

i always liked plus 2 swingarms on that kind of quads since they are so short

nice info! thanks.. this motor was already cut for the back motor mount but if anything happens i will keep how you do yours in mind. Frame is a fluresent (spelling) pink... don't show up that color in pictures. Should have the parts for the motor monday then i'll have to bend the header away from the frame and buy a muffler for it.

Have not really worked on this in awhile have no time as trying to get my 250r up and running but here is a picture of how it looks right now.. prob have little less than $500 into it and have about everything i need to get it up and running.
