TRX300 rear axle question?

My buddy just hit the BUY IT NOW on this here auction but we now realize in the description it says "will not fit the TRX300EX" I should of read the description a bit better but when I seen that price I got a bit excited. :rolleyes:

If it isn't for the EX what other TRX did honda make? Is there any chance of making it work on his quad? or does anyone have a good rear axle to sell or trade him this one him so we can ride this coming weekend?
Here's his quad.. its a 2002 trx300ex. The splines on the one hub are worn bad and he actually lost his wheel (came off) while riding this past weekend. He has a new set of hubs on the way but the axle and bearings are gonna need to be replaced anyways.

Anyone know for sure or have any suggestions please let me know ASAP. We have a large group of riders coming this weekend and it wouldbe ashame if he had to sit this one out.

Also, anyone know if the rear axle bearings and or swingarm is the same as on my 350X?

he bought a 4X4 or 2X4 axle. its a utility quad. shaft drive.

look for a 250x or 300ex axle. there the same exact thing.

i've read about putting a 350x swingarm and axle on the back of a 250x/300ex, to make them longer and a bit wider. but not sure if the axle will interchange.

just weld that hub on the axle. he should get some time out of it, till he can find a good axle.

yes a 350x ass end will fit a 250x/300ex but you will need to run spacers since the frame is wider then the trike. (around 1/2''-3/4'' )

the 350x swingarm is a little longer (like 3/4'') but since the exstended hubs wont fit a 350x axle i doubt it will be wider.
