ok, the price of oil has dropped yet the price is the same, this is the best example of the gas tax that each state puts upon us still. I am waiting to see what happens next year to see if the gas prices go up agian but people will have no money to buy gas in the first place. I hope mccain makes because of the fact of his wife and son being the only mom and son drift team.

Yea, price drops and OPEC is going to have a meeting about cutting back oil production. So we'll be in the same boat as we were in a couple months ago, except we'll be driving less and paying the same.

Its pretty easy to screw us the people when you can control the supply.

dont worry to much, theres an election coming .... prices will stay ''low'' but they cant drop as the price of crude drops.

the stuff in the tanks at the station was bought weeks ago if not longer....but your right as far as they will raise it as soon as they can and its slow to come down.

that is what is most funny about the prices, it takes months for gas prices to drop to maybe being afordible, but it takes a mininum wage worker with a stick 5-10 minutes to raise it back up a $1.

it should go lower than the price it is currently, I'd have to say it go to a low of about
$3.00. I'd accept that price myself.

The oil companies are just conditioning everyone to higher prices. They bring it down a little bit so america breathes a sigh of relief and jack the price back up even higher. When the price goes up like a rocket and then goes back down like a feather it is not supply and demand.

No I wouldn't..These oil execs have 100's of millions if not billions of dollars. More money than they could possibly know what to do with. There comes a point to "when is enough enough?"

I'm sorry, but I don't believe you. Money breeds greed.

I'll come out and say that I would, but that's because I don't have a conscience.

Thats fine you don't have to believe me but I know what makes me happy and its not ungodly amounts of money. These execs would still be mega multi-millionares even if gas was $1.00 a gallon.

We saw the Price go up here from 3.56 to 4.19 a gallon yesterday from 9am to 12 pm.

All due to the Hurricane.
Now explain this to me,That gas was in the tank for a few days,The full affects of Ike have not even been felt yet,but they raised the prices, that much in a few hours. Not to mention Down south, 5 bucks a gallon?
How is that NOT price gouging?

The govt, should put a freeze on these prices, during a Hurricane or the like.
And I also feel that they should only be able to change pump prices 1 time per week.
I remember 9/11 When gas was like $1.75 a gallon.By 5 pm that day, $5.25 per gallon. That was crap.I didnt pump any, then 3 Hours later The Govt said no gouging, and think of all the millions of people that pumped those millions of gallons at that price into their tanks. There was never any penalty to the oil big wigs for that.
It was probably a 50 million dollar "tip" for them just becuase of gouging.

be ready for the gas shortage that's coming...half of the U.S. production is currently out of order for the next 9 days.

These prices are rediculous. In my province gas went up 9.2 cents to a grand total of 135.7/liter. Which if my math is right makes it $5.10/gallon. I wish prices were 3.50/gallon. Its all just a bunch of political BS.
