drugs has a major roll in this, in portland oregon, we have these people sitting on sides of streets, and in high schools as teachers, these people are so far gone that they openly talk to some students about there drug life and a how they where hippies. The teenagers that are my age that have been led to think that doing drugs is okay and that the goverment was at fault of every thing that has happen for the last 30 years. Most of these people that I have met that think in this way do pretty much every drug you can think of. And then when you disagree with them they have nothing to back it up or start throwing fist because of the fact they have nothing to back up what ever they are rebeling agianst.

There is a teacher at a local college that is very hippie like and all about the environment. Wanna guess what kind of car she drives? Gas drinking suv. When somone asked her about it she said it was so she could get all of her gear and stuff into the field to do testing and experiments. Guess its ok if they can justify it in their own mind.

This reminds me of the Marin County scandal years ago, when hikers/equestrians were pissed at bikers for making trails in the woods and setting up jumps and chit on the existing trails... they would string up piano wire, 2x4's with nails buried in the ground, etc.
