Okay Imin the market fora new quad, ofcourse it needs to have plenty of power. Mostly gonna be used on trails and maybe some drag racing. Reverse would be awesome, I was thinking something along the lines of kfx 450r or Raptor 700r, polaris predator etc. What do you guys think, there is a raptor 700 se by me for a decent price but its used. One of the local dealers by me has 3 kfx 450's left all of the are 08's and are the special edition black. As for me I'm a big boy I weigh about 320, and am 6 feet tall. any insight would be awesome.:beer

I think the raptor will fit you the best out of all of them

I don't know much about them but what about a Honda 700XX?
If it were me I'd buy a Honda 450R. I bought a new one in 04 and sold it to buy a new 06 but bought a Harley and a 400EX instead.

Dude the Raptor 700R is what you need. I'm 6'2" and 270lbs and I love my Raptor. It fits me much better than the little 450s, and I'm counting the Polaris in with them. They are physically smaller. The Raptor is larger and the torque is addictive. Don't let the stock numbers fool you. Stock vs. stock the 450s will walk on the Raptor. Bolt on the big 3(full pipe, billet intake, fuel controller) and the Raptor is a beast. I got the big 3 from Monster Quads out in California and the setup on his local dyno turned 52hp at the rear wheels. And that ain't bad for an hours worth of bolt ons, +10hp. Lots of guys haven't ridden a 50+ hp quad, when you do it takes some time for the big-arse grin on your face to go away. Raptor all the way!

Check my ATV link to see pics of my Raptor.

What about the KFX 700. It's bigger than the Raptor 700 ( not motor, only in size.) It's not fuel injected but they are fast. I saw a guy on the trail and his had a big bore 800cc kit and it smoked my Z400 and my buddies Raptor 660. I'm actually thinking about getting a KFX 700 after riding his, and I'm only 6'0 ft and 185. It felt way more stable than my buds 660 and bigger, im sure it also ways more. I've never rode a Raptor 700 but i've rode alot of the 660's. Either way both look great and i'm sure the raptor 700 is fast and fun, the 660's are. Good luck buying a new toy.

I like the Kfx 700 as well but there heavy, i think the raptors probably the best bet or the honda 700xx but its not really proven and efi is nothing but a plus.

Raptor all the way, for your size it's perfect. The Kawi 700 would be my 2nd choice. Don't even waste your money on the honda. I"ve seen nothing but horrible reviews for them, and they're not even close to the Raptor.

i just got a new kfx 450r and man that thing is a beast, the reverse helps alot and has all the power in the world. i can do donuts on dry pavement. and pull wheelies in third no sweat. the seat is perfect for small and large riders. and the bike only weighs like 365 lbs, all aluminum frame, and i have yet to run a honda that could beat it in a 300ft race. their fuel injected so you never have to worry about carb cleaning again. their virtually work free machines, just put a pipe on it and never touch anything else. the thhing that sold me on it. was the 2 piece fenders, so its cheaper to replace just the outer fender if they break. and they turn into race cut and back to normal just by taken out a few screws. nothing else can say that.

Honda 450R's have been like that since they came out in 2004.

What about this 7 year warranty, do you have to pay extra? an how much? my dads in the market for a new bike

7 year warranty, holy cow!!!!!! That's longer than new cars and trucks. Infact, thats longer than many new atv's will even last, with the average persons abusive riding habits and poor maintenance. Ask em if it covers the 40-60 hour piston replacements for 7 years. See what kind of look you get.

I have 5 year warranty that does cover any replacements and what not on my outlaw 525, i bought it extra though it was $1000, but in the long run its probably defiantly going to be worth it.
