I thought Selvey's always marked the cylinders?:wondering Every one I've seen was.

Swinger looks like a oem that's been extended.

The signature can be seen on the left side of the cylinder if you blow up the picture.

Mine has Selvys marked in big letters on the jug.. Ive got the same silencer and the sonic stickers on my tank fins.. But mine only has the sonic port job, its still a 250, not a 200.. But i'll tell ya, ive owned about a dozen R's 3 and 4 wheeled and ive never had one that pulled as hard or drank as much gas as this Selvys!! The thing freakin RIPS its a damn good port job!!!!

Id LOVE to ride a 200R just to see the difference someday..

Once again, It does have SELVY in big letters on the jug, just blow up the picture and look closely. If you still can't see it, then I don't know what to tell you. Look at previous posts of the engine in this forum, I had it in my 86 chassis but now it is back in the chassis it originally was in.

Was the 200 kit so it could dominate in the 200cc class?

Sorry man. I've just had a few people emailing me and claiming it wasn't a Selvys because it didn't have the signature. That's all. Sorry I got my wires crossed. It's nothing personal. I think people have been uptight on here lately because there are some people around that like to make a nuisance of themselves when you are trying to sell something. That's cool about your cylinder, I'd like to ride that bike and see how it compares.

Yes it was and man did it ever! Though the Kawis seemed to be a little quicker with the 200 kits as far as rideability goes though the Selvys was the ticket.

OK, please tell me what the big deal is over the Selvy's pipe?

I just bought a 86 250r and have been hounded over it since I posted the pictures. Who the hell is Selvy?

Not trying to be erogant, just never heard of this guy. The guy I bought it off of said his buddy made the pipe. So what the heck?
The bike was in Placentia Ca.:wondering

Kind of odd when people start offering you $3000 for a bike that is really selling for $1000

Finally :w00t: :w00t: Coupe, you started listing your Tigers in your signature and giving me a better idea :D although most of what you listed I already factored in the registry. I Didnt know about your low hr fatty front end until I saw you post that recently.

BTW the pipe on that 250r is a work of art and that 86 appears to be a low hour machine which can fetch that kind of money easy in other areas of the country besides Cali....maybe more....thats why your being offered it.

That is an awsome pipe. But without the high HP needed, the pipe is useless.

Sorry Ninja, not to hijack your thread.

Are you sure about that? I've never seen a Bill's pipe that looks like a Selvys. Please elaborate.

That's very true, If that cylinder isn't ported for that pipe, it's kind of a waste. That is a friggin clean R, very nice, I love 86s!

Thanks! The guy did say they did a piston to it about five years after he bought it from the dealer. I have yet to fire her up. Bought it in a not running condition. Previous owner swears it was in good running condition and all he did was store it, so carb must be gunked up. However the throttle cable operates smoothly, so it must not be too bad.

I am having kind of a hard time finding good oil to mix with the gas. Can't seem to find anything but Golden Spectro or the Kreagan Vavoline and Castrol 2t for ATV's. Seems to be kind of cheap to me, $4 a quart. GS is $8.

Anybody know of a common retailer that has good mixing oil for the gas?

Oh one more thing, if that's true about the piston, so when my top end goes, sure it will sooner or later, this pipe will work with a 310 big bore kit?
