Got Snow?

We are are supposed to get some snow this weekend. Anybody have some already? I can't wait to go play in the snow with my trikes. All I had last winter was my Rancher.

We dont have any yet. I think weve only had like 2 mornings with frost. We'll have snow iin december usually and dont get any large amounts till early jan

All the snow we had melted Monday and this night we got maybe 4-5''.

We had about 20cm, then it all melted. More fell today so I had the 200m out and spun the yard. A frozen garden and a hard-tail don't mix that well.

Well, we had 3-5 inches of snow a week ago tonight in my little corner of Alabama, and even though it's hit nearly 60-degrees since then, there's still a little left.........in my freezer thanks to my 6-year old son....:)

He sure was. Every now and then, we'll have a decent snow.....but it's been awhile since the roads were rough around here due to anything more than ice.

He's seen 20-inches on flat ground in SW Michigan the last time we were up there during the winter, but he was too young to remember it. Down here, a good snow is a novelty. Everything shuts down, except the wheeling, the hunting, and the drinking:D
I spent several winters in MI back in the '90s. I was surprised that no one I knew up there knew how to make snow cream....and me, a southern boy did.:lol:

Even with what little we had a week ago, there were plenty of people to pull out of the ditches....no charge of course.

Last nght we had 15cm which stuck to the roads so needless to say all the skidoos were out. We had a little bit of rain and the temp is dropped again so everything is froze up.Were supposed to have flurries the weekend and another 10-15cm on monday. Hopefully it is how it seems and this m,ay be the seasons start of snow.

Fri it started snowing at @ 4am and snowed untill @ 3:30. I think when it was all said and done we got @ a foot. The roads were nasty if I could have I would have riden my 3 wheeler to work I would have gotten there faster. It is supposed to do it to us again sun night into mon morning. I have lived in MI my whole life and still can't get used to the cold weather. I don't know when the toys will come out but I think it will be after the holidays. Hope every one has a safe and happy holiday season,

Snow?

We got 12.5 inches over the weekend with the possibility of 8-10 more inches on Wed. Here in Alpena, MI the average amount of snow by Dec 20 is 20" this year we have had a little over 44" I used my snow blower to make a path around the house for my little dogs to use. We probably have close to 18" on the ground. Here is a couple of pictures

got a solid 12-15 inches over 2-3 days at work. Total 40 hours OT.

got home last night and took the z out for an hour on all of the roads. Everything was icy and you could really swing it around corners. Took it down a few main roads...thankfully no cops saw me...would have had to run it to git away from em.

hoping for no more snow for 2 weeks. time for some snow riding in NH...

This picture was taken 12-24-08 and if the snow keeps up all winter it is going to be hard on our deer herd. I am afraid I will have to go back to feeding them even thought our DNR has put a state wide ban on feeding due to finding CWD in one deer in a private herd. If you look at one on my previous post in this thread where there are three deer you can see the difference in the amount of snow in just a couple of days or so.
