View Full Version : I always feel like somebody's watching me

Sometimes I will watch an auction out of curiousity with no intention to buy or bid. Sometimes I watch one to see what the going price for something is or just to see how different styles of auctions appeal to bidders.

I have listed my 86 200 X 3 times now and I get anywhere from 12 - 20 watchers but only end up with 1-3 bids.

So my question is, how many members are  me?

Edog, Get out of my head!!!!!

I was mentally singing that song when I posted this. lol

It's all good.

The first time I listed it I was like, "WOW, with 20 watchers it will most deffinately go for what I want".

It keeps fizzing at $500. Sorry but I am not selling it for a third of what I have into it. I had some dude want to trade an AR-15 for it. Can't do that cause the way the economy is I may get thoughts of the best bank robbery scene ever in the movie "Heat".

I just tried to sell a 64 impala and had 500+ watchers! and only 11 bids and it got only to 600 something dollars.... (2000 reserve) I was like 500 watchers!! I thought to myself its going to get crazy in the end....... only tumbleweeds in the end for me though....

I too am a watcher on many things. Like previously stated above, watching can reveal a coming trend or current market fluctuation. As for the watches that have ended already, I too have some of those. Usually only for contact reasons or to research a bike's listing photos as a restoration tool. I have even waited for a bike not to sell, then contact the seller to see if I can just buy a near mint part off the unsold bike. Sometimes people will sell aftermarket stuff off their bike for a good stock piece, in exchange/ plus some cash or sell a part that was offered as an extra in the sale. You know, the yard sale blanket or milk crate pictured filled with extra parts to send along with the sale. I always assume 50 watches on my stuff doesn't mean much. I've had the same watching with no bidding woos to. Ebay is the world's newspaper classifieds, and is also many people's mere entertainment. Oh well, ya win some ya loose some.

Unless it's mint mint mint!! The 86 AND 87 200X's are barely fetching 800$ - 1200$. Terrible time to sell anything........

Tell ya what, I am blown away at what stuff is selling for. I thought I had a $2000 86 200x in my garage, only to find out its a $1000 machine at the moment. If you can hold on, then hold on..

I wish I could find a nice '86+ 200x for around $800...... I'm going to have about $700 into my '84 200x that I bought for $300 last month after going through the engine, putting on near mint plastics and replacing missing odds and ends :(

I've watched a few items to see what they go for. I've never been a seller on ebay so I can't say I know what y'all are talking about. But I can tell you that its a buyers market right now for wheelers.
