View Full Version : What to buy?? Old trike or newer quad!

I have found two machines close to me that are similar in price but not sure which to get.

Honda 70 ATC 1978 - $500

Runs great, new plastic, needs a front tire. No paperwork (info from seller)

im sellin my mojave its a 2001 i bought it with no papers but i check in the DMV and its not stolen, but i dont have paper work for it (so please dont ask for it) the bikes turns on but its hard at 1st then when it warms up its good but the kick start its gettin loose....the bike needs some work!! He stated in an e-mail that the carb and kick starter need work.

I just got my first 83 200x and want another toy. Let me know which way you would go and why!

I would go with the 70. They are a blast to ride. Only needs a front. Pretty easy to work on. Also 3 wheels are better than 4

yeah, im all for trikes, but a mojave is a better deal for the price

I'd go with the Mojave. I don't get the interest in 70's in the first place. I started out on one when I was a kid but as an adult the last thing i want is to be cramped up on a tiny little underpowered 70. Just my opinion though.

Even if the price is the same the 70 will still be a lot cheaper in the long run. Looks like it doesn't need much and even if it does they're cheap to maintain. If the Mojave needs work it's gonna cost you some bucks. Personally I think the Mojaves kinda suck anyway. Worst turning radius ever and way underpowered.

Two totally different animals so really it depends on your budget and what you plan to do with it.

The Mojave is probally a better deal for the cash value. But four wheelers are a dime a dozen. Both are fun but do you want something to beat on or something rare to find. Go with what you suits you best!

Just went and looked at the quad and its a project to say the least!

Its missing the airbox cover and the kick starter does not grab. Also looks like the carb needs to be cleaned and rebuilt!

He said to make him an offer but it needs alot of TLC.

Get the 70, you'll be addicted!
