I have been spending alot of time working on my ZR and getting her ready for another season. She is a 98 ZR 500. She is in pristine shape. I have owned her for about 5 yrs. I have upgraded all the shocks to Sno-Pro shocks from various years. It also has dial-a-just rear shock. I have done my own clutching. She also has a D&D single pipe with a SLP dualcore can. I do my own powdercoat and machining so I whipped up a couple cool things. I have powdercoated the a-arms in super mirror white powdercoat. The spindles and swaybar are done in lime green. Looks really nice for a 10 yr old sled. This has got to be one of my favorite chassis of all time.

I'll have to dig up some pic's but I had a '98 ZR 600EFI limited with the ETT and it was an awesome trail machine. My brother had the limited edition 2000 ZR 500 EFI with the ETT and he loved it also, his had the silver hood though. But I think the best part of either of the sled's was the adjustable Fox Ryde shock's on the front like you have ,it look's and we also had the adjustable rear, with the adjuster being above the bar's.Both of those machine's soaked up the whoop's hardcore and you could hit a berm sideway's and roll out of it like you were a pro rider.I had a 900 t-cat before that and although it went 108 out of the crate the ZR 600 with that suspension was a hand's down favorite in my book..

For the age of your sled ,I think it look's immaculant..Very nice machine indeed.I'll look for those pic's when I have the time..

I used to own a zr and it was nothing but problems for me. I burned 3 stators in one season. I sold that and switched to polaris. Now I have 98 xc 600 big block with a couple of mods like a mbrp can.

They do eat stators. Normally they go out around 4000 miles. If you get a rewind they may not last as long.

they sure do...i had a 98 600efi with 2600 miles on it a couple years ago. the thing was absolutely mint! sold it to my brother, he got about 150 miles and the stator took a poo! not my fault, but i still felt bad, but not too bad. he got it alot cheaper than a stanger would have

I have a 98 Powder Special EFI Limited with a 136... Pretty close to ZR...Mine was clean like yours when I got it, but nowhere near that condition now. Yours looks awesome!
