Target has a Nikon 8megapix for like $100. Maybe just get a good case to carry it in.

i went to ebay and bought several old sony sybershots,,,, they work great and no worries about ruining them,, although one of them is 3 years old and no problems at all even dropped it in the sand more than once,,,,,,,

I have bought a couple cheaper digi cams and and taken our good one out on the dunes. I have never had that great of luck with them, shudder speed is to slow to catch mid air jumps and such.

Even though it is a pain to take pictures to get developed I buy the high speed disposable cameras and have them developed then get a cd with them also.

I would suggest that you get one with a view finder. I had one with just the LCD window and in real sunny situations it was very hard to see what you were taking a picture of. Also get a good case.

I had an old sony cybershot 5 megapixle camera and it was great until I ran it over on accident. It used the pro duo cards that I can just slide in my computer port. Got it for like 150 new, probably can get them dirt cheap now, but there great little cameras.

Those sony's look like a pretty good deal. MAybe I should spend I little more money and buy something that's waterproof. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'd also like one that has the burst mode or whatever thats called... where you can take multiple pics in a row.

You can buy waterproof cases, and yes mud proof and water proof are very different. Mud will kill the camera unless its in a case. My old sony cybershot had burst with 3-10 pics. You can make a sequence type thing with it.
