Lemme guess, you like the Rancheros though, don't you? If you like the Ranchero, but not the El Camino, you are a stupid homo. They are both almost the same, except the El Camino came out first. I'm not a big fan of Chevy's, but I do like El Caminos, Camaros, Trans Ams, F-Birds, and the 70's pickup truck.

It's good to see other elco owners out their. By the looks of it you still got allot of work done to it. Don't lose that license plat bucket, their $100 brand new.
here are some links to elco parts if haven't find them yet. I've done business with el camino store. I think year one is selling g-body parts now.

By license plate bucket you mean the thing in the tailgate, right? Damn they're expensive. Yep I still have ALOT of work to do. My first goal is to redo engine and tranny, and work her up from there. I have to do a COMPLETE cosmetic restoration, inside&out. My overall goal is to make her look really good inside & out with a good sound system, and put out somewhere near 300 horsepower and get over 20 MPG. I think it's possible.

Reminds me of my brothers 88 elkey helped him redo the body and motor in it when it was done it was a sweet lookin truck 350 all built up in it that thing moved the SS kit for them is what i would want if i had one but i have a 85 monte 350 built never ending projects.

Bah, the later model SS kits meant nothing, my EC is actually an SS, but all it is is visual mods from a stock. They put a crappy lil V6 in this thing...you call that SS?????

SS is the appearance package while the Z28 was the performance one. Although i've never heard of a Z28 El camino.
