i wanted to know because my little cousin bought a dirtbike, i asked him about it and the only thing he said was it was 2 stroke, i later talked to his dad and he said it was a yamaha 60 2 stroke, i think he said it was an 86 .

There was a YZ60 but I've only seen 70's era bikes but they probably shared engines with the zinger so i dont see why it couldn't be.

Yamaha also made two stroke 60cc mini enduros in the 1970's. They were nothing like the Zinger motor which is very similar to what the PW's now use. They were a full size mini cycle with manual clutch and tranny. They were pretty much a dirt bike with lights. I dont remember if they had any designated strictly dirt without lights at that time.
