We bought it last last season - can't wait for a little more snow!

No its The regular Indy. Dynoport pipes, bored with wiseco's, bored carbs, clutched, widened front end to 54" with custom rods, custom shock towers, Ohlins shocks all around, Xtra 10 suspension, New track, 96 studs(needs about 100 more, still doesn't hook up) Sly dog skiis, and more i cant think of right now. She will carry the skiis as far as you want. We are gunna bring it to some ice drags this winter.

Just fired it up for the first time this winter. I wish i had a good video camera, because the pipes sound wicked. Tripples have a sound like no other. The exciter is in the backround.

1998 Arctic Cat ZR500.

Suspension:
Lencco sping sliders
Fox Clicker Shocks w/ 5/8 shafts
sno pro rear suspension springs
black magic spring adjusters
Fox Dial-a-just front arm shock.

Motor:
D&D single pipe
SLP dual core can
D&D clutch kit
New 6 post clutch (updated from 9 post)
Lennco slick shift secondary clutch cover
Belmont engineering belt difflection adjuster
Vforce 3 reeds
TM38 mik's flatslides

I tear this sled apart every season. I do my own powdercoat and I keep her looking fresh!!!

This year she got all new front suspension bushings, tie-rod ends, idler arm bushings, etc. Shes TIGHT!

Super fun, nimble sled. Eats 600's for lunch!

Yamahatrike4oo, do you have any pictures from the front of your indy? I also widened the ski stance on my indy, out to 44" spindle to spindle.

honda250sx, ever ride in Moraine? I live near the park, ride the trails from my back yard.

Here's my main ride, only one I got registered and insured. It's a 1983 indy 400 that I built pretty much from scratch, 38mm carbs, YZ radiator conversion, custom built suspension, and a bunch of other stuff. Got another 11 sleds but only a few are operational right now.

Pickep up this 91 Wildcat 700 this fall. Rebuilt the motor, put in a 2002 rear suspension, C&A skis, New 1 inch track, with 144 studs and green Mack backers. Little clutch work. Runs like a charm. Not quite the power my 02 SRX 700 had, but not bad...

Thats the first sled i went over a 100 mph on. They were absolute animals! Nice job.

Can't be compared to a well tuned SRX. I had an 02 myself. Hauck Clutching, Bender Trips with silencers. Sounded evil. You could here it for miles before you ever saw it.

Almost finished building a bush sled. 1972 T'NT body and hood, slightly newer 340 Rotax F/C, Tundra II 139" track and suspension, F-chassis headlight, 8" wide ski skins on a custom fabb'd ski, just have to finish the seat/engine cover and maybe bring the handle bars up a couple inches and it'll be finished, might also cut open the floor boards like the newer arctic cats but thats not too high a priority right now.

Now that thats almost finished I can reassemble my 1999 MXZ 670HO T/H, 151X1.5", rebuilt the engine this fall, port and polished the cases and cylinders, shortened up the y-pipe a touch, cut the RV plate to 501 specs, shorty carb boots, gonna run pods in a custom filter box and see how that works to keep the powder out of the engine. Also added a 4" pivot riser. Kept up to my boss' 06 800 Vertical Escape last year (till we hit 100 anyway then he started pulling on me) this year he went to an 06 RMK 800, we'll have to line up again and see how much I can spank him this year :p

Heres a pic of my MXZ last year with my 81 185.

1979 Arctic Cat El Tigre 6000 (500 Liquid). It'll run with the newer sleds and will maul almost anything around its era.

I'm in the process of cosmetically restoring it (just needs a new seat cover and I'd like an '81 tigre hood). I'd like to put 38mm carbs and the clutch set-up off an '81 tigre to really make it rip

My buddy has a SRX600 like that. Figures he'll get me on top speed this winter. I know it has the potential to but I don't think HIS will.

Got my first real ride this season on Monday past. Felt nice to hit a long straight. More snow in the forcast so I'm hoping for a solid weekend of riding.

Hey Big green machine. Are you suppsed to have any snow today cause were geting bombarded with it now. I'm rocking the 12 elan but last night went with some buddies down the road to our pond about 2km long. All the boys were drag racing on thier skidoo's. An 600xlt indy , 900 thundercat, a 2009 570 articcat and an Indy storm. Well since My machine isn't much of a speed demon they let me try thier for a few drags up the pond. I must say going from the elan to having a thunder cat and storm opened up is quite an experience

We got around 10-15 cm on the ground since it started this morning. Its 11:25AM here now and it has turned to rain. Hoping the rain packs it and this will be our base for the rest of the season.

Thats quite the switch indeed. The big twostrokes are where its at in the sledding community. I bet you came back with a huge grin.

It was probably the bigest smile I had on a skidoo yet. I'm keeping the Elan for a workhorse but when the spring comes and the prices go down I'm on the hunt for a big displacement sled. Like to have one now but with the snow finnaly here guys are jacking up the prices pretty quick for the desprate buyer. But man those machines are mean.

BigGreenMachine

Lots of fun. The Firecat chassis is one sled around here that I've seen go for good prices. There was a nicely modded 04 on NLclassifieds for 4k. The ZX chassis MXZ600 is another that goes cheaper then most newer sleds.

I think I'll be looking for a second Firecat this summer, that or a Renegade 800 Rev. The 'gade being better suited to work/play then the Firecat. I need something for Coyote hunting in the winter.

Heytoocheaptosmoke. I've seen that indy on other forums and I love it..The suspension is sweet..I'm hoping to find an Indy hopefully te summer when guys are selling em cheap. pretty common around here for that
