hi I was wondering if there is a difference between a 200x and a 185 head? is there a difference between a 200x and other 200 model heads? i want to put a 200x top end on my 185 but i need to know what i will have to get to do this. Any other info about this mod is appreciated

83-85 200x top end will fit on the 185, 185s, 200, 200e, 200es, 200m, 200s, ect.

It will fit right on like howdy said, and you will also get a decent performance boost if your using the 200x cam. The only difference I can think of is that the 200x head does't have any compression release lever (i dont think) but you don't need that.

83-85 200x top end will fit on the 185, 185s, 200, 200e, 200es, 200m, 200s, ect.

im just sure if a 185 head will fit on a 200cc cylinder. im just trying to save some time and money by getting my facts straight

Yes, as stated before the heads will swap out with no problem. In fact if you want you could put a 86-87 125m head ( will need a 185-200 cam ) on the 200x. I actually have a 88 TRX125 ( same motor as a 86-87 125m ) and it has a ATC200 head on it. It did increase power. ;)

....okay hold on now, I need the details of this one. Cause methinks a 125m with a 200x head, slapped into a 70 would make one helluva little ride!
