Well the sprocket for the 83 250R engine is going to be on the wrong side to work.
I've got a pair of 86 200X's that I am going to somewhat combine into one good one. And I think I'm going to get my hands on a TRX250X engine and I'm going to see if the 250X engine will fit the 200X frame, that would be awesome.

with enough skill.. you can put anything you want in that thing... I would stick with an air-cooled engine so you dont have to mess around with radiators.. I would avoid the '83 KX500 because parts are difficult to find and they arent known for being reliable.. I would use the 250R even though it has a right hand drive.. Its alot to work to basically be re-inventing a 250r.. but if you are like me you would do it just because you can..

This is the motor I'd like to put in a 2nd gen 200x.

2100$ at Service Honda brand new-

I'd also go with a 450r rear suspension and axle and inverts on the front.

Ok thats my next project.

well can anyone tell me an easy two stroke swap or any easy switch, lookin for alot more power andi dont mind making motor mounts but im thinkin the kick start will be the prob any ideas in getting an egine that will fit with minimal custom work, any 250rs air cooled with a left drive unit

Nope. If you don't mind cross breading, how about a Blaster engine.
