2-Stroke Oil Ratio

Picked up a 1986 BW80 for my son and the guy we bought it from disconected the oil injection, so what ratio do you guys recomend for the gas? What oil should we run in it also.

everything i own i run 40:1, i use castor 927 made by maxima Its a great oil for summer use, where i live it gets too cold to use for winter. I believe they recommend it until 32 degrees. most modern oils are fine to use Bel-ray, maxima, amsoil, spectro, and klots are some of the biggest names. they all work its just your preference

I use 32:1 in all of our rides. Honda GN-2, it's expensive but we have never had an oil related problem. We run mostly Honda bikes, an Odyssey, CR125, and two CR500's. My son just got a Tri-z (which is why I'm hanging around here) and I'll use the same in that as well.

Like setp child says, just use a good name brand.
