I have a couple PS3's and a slew of games but haven't been playing anything last few weeks. Been using it more as a Bluray player.

My kid plays a bit though.

When I do play I'm usually rocking Midnight Club 3 - I've got one of those Playseat and Logitech G25 racing wheel and seat setup.

Exactly like this one only my seat is black.

i just have socom confrontation and mx vs atv untamed (sill near the top of the all time leader boards)

i only like 3rd person shooters but traded cod4 and gta4 in for the new socom, it rules.

im online with it about every night

Yeah good thinkin SWIG, people might get the wrong idea:lol: How is that new SOCOM? What is it, Confrontation? I like Metal Gear Solid 4 online, I cant wait for Resident Evil 5 to come out. Online co-op, that will be AWESOME! I'm megaslayer66 if anyone wants to add me to their buddy list.

if you liked the past socoms its like that but it runs MUCH smoother, and for the most part people drop when you shoot them.

P.S. How much do those chair setups run?

About 250 for the chair and 250 for the wheel/shifter/pedals - I dunno if the price has dropped since.

It's the only way to play driving/racing games. Use the games 'cockpit/in-car' view - put the seat bout 2 feet away from the 52 inch plasma, crank the volume - immersion!!

Nazi Zombies! My Brother and I made it to level 18 on split screen co-op. We would have made it farther, but I shot a pillar at point blank with the ray gun by accident. Man that sucked! Its a pretty sweet game though. I've been a fan of CoD since the beginning. Cod 2 is still the best WW2 FPS ever IMHO.

I didnt care much for RE4, Im a big fan of the series, so 4 was a let down for me story wise and game wise. RE5 brought the series up a bit.

YLOD (yellow light of death)

it wont turn on...only a few beeps and the blue/green/red light will flash yellow then just flash red.

on playstation.com there seems to be a rash of this happening to the old 60g units.

Didn't know there was a red ring of death in the playstation world. I hope Sony is as nice as Microsoft was when my Bro's 360 died. Didn't cost him a dime, and he got a free month of gold membership.

Ouch. I know the only reason that my Bro got his fixed for free was because there were so many cases of the RRoD that MS offered an extended warranty to everybody who bought one before they released the Arcade, or something like that. If there are enough complaints maybe Sony will do the same thing? A guy I worked with tried to update his PS3 and it crashed on him, and Sony wouldn't fix it for him, so at least you don't have to buy a new one, but throwing another 150 at an already expensive system really sucks too.

YLOD is not close to as common as the RROD, but it happens. Power surge, left on too long - could be anything to cause it really.

My original 80 gig's blu-ray died on me after the system was out of warranty - cost 150 bucks to have it fixed.

i play the SOCOM series on mine.online gaming is the way to go.
