sic vid, that dude can drive! my buddy had a wrx when they first came out, this dude weighs about 350, and that little ass car would move out no problem. I weigh about 235, so thats almost 600 lbs in that little 4 banger, and it would snapp you back in your seat with ease.

That has got to be the only brat that hasn't been reduced to a pile of dust and plastic pieces. I used to think they were the coolest back in the 80s. I haven't seen one in a looong time. They didn't last long up here, they rusted terrible. Thanks for sharing the picture and post some more if you have any.

Man I would love a Brat. They have a cult following of hardcore enthusiasts. I guy has one that comes to my beer dist. He said that they can go many places you wouldnt think, and gas mileage is awesome! He was tellin me about how some people lift them, and do all kinds of sick stuff with them. I asked him where I could find one, and he said good luck! He has another one for parts and said he would keep buying them as long as he could find them.

On a side note, the spare tire is in a weird location. It's under the hood with the engine.

I love my brat 3rd one I owned.one of the most dependable moters ever made 1.8 flat 4.no timing belt or chain to break,Its a gear that runs off the crank.started life as an aircraft engine.very light,I can get on top of the deep sugar sand and some mud.I have had some big truck guys impressed.I still have the seats for the back also.they are rusters and hard to find.this one I bought for $950 in 2000 and has spent its whole life in florida.
