for all the griping about no riding areas down there, you 2 sure have plenty of rides.............whats up with that?? I only have 50 acres next door, and about 200 a few miles down the road that we ride every weekend we can, and I still dont feel that is enough area to lay out mucho loot for a new or newer bike. I hope you like your new ride, and happy birthday! Hope it doesn't get impounded! :D You guys need to come up here and check the trails out.

Kawasaki KFX 400 same as a Suzuki Z400.

Hey Holic, It's too fast to get impounded ;) We don't get bothered too much and if we do it's not too hard to outrun an old guy on a utility quad that does not know the area.

we ride where ever we want. his lawn my lawn and if they arent home the neighbors yard lol in all truth though we dont have much area to ride but we make the best of it. soon we will try ATVNY up state and maybe start travaling around to penn and conn for ridding areas. gotta love the thrill!!!!!! besides what else are we gonna spend our money the old ladies??????? I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!!! hehe they get the left over bikes. cant wait to try that kfx400 out myself later

i tell ya i rode 200xmans bike this weekend with geckos on it. that bike is fast and fun a lot different then my warrior or the banshees i have had. maybe ill get one after the wedding and buying a house and haveing kids and all that crap!!!lol :D

artic cat is supposed to have a version of ther kfx and ltz 400 coming in november. a friend of mine and his dad are artic cat dealers and he has 7 ordered. he has seen and ridin my kfx and says it looks just like it, but a different color. suzuki has powered artic cat atv's for awhile now. have fun with the kfx, i have a few mods on mine and it really woke up the bottom end. dynojet, full white brother's e-series exhaust,airbox mods, i also dropped to a 13 tooth drive sproket to help the bottom end, the carb has also had a trick or two done with it besides the jet kit. it runs nice and have had no problems since i got it in september of 02. in the sand i run geckos but would like to get rid of them for a set of straight paddles. with a unfortunate accident or two under my belt, i had to replace the handle bars, i have a very nice setup from trailtech on it now. u really have to watch that plastic, everywhere u stress it it turns yellowish. good luck with it.

Here's the pic of it. The plastic's look different and better to me. The kawa. 400 and the Z400 looks like twins to me.

Suzuki makes the Z400, the KFX 400 for Kawasaki and the 400 for Artic Cat. As far as your Kawasaki-ugh comment, I was looking for a 4 stroke,liquid cooled,electric start sport quad with reverse so it kind of narrowed down my choices.

I'll agree. I wanted something that I could really throw around. I can ride my wife's Polaris if I want to drive a tank.
