Hello, I needed some help on how to fix the issues with this truck I am wanted to sell. It is a 1985 Nissan 720 Pickup 2.4 liter 4 cylinder carbureted 5 speed manual. Anyway, it has some issues that I wanted to address. First thing is the rear window latch thingy. I went outside one morning when it was like 10 degrees out and tried to close it and the plastic shattered like glass. I couldn't find anything to replace it searching online. I don't think auto parts stores have anything like that. Do you know how to look for OEM nissan parts for this? Do I need to go to a dealer for these parts? Should I look in a junkyard for this?

Next up is the tailgate. As you can see in the picture below, I accidentally bent it a little. It is not real noticeable unless you get up close. My issue is the thing won't open anymore!! Does anyone know how I could get it open so I could try to atleast fix it enough to open and close properly?

I also need a new radiator overflow tank. Does anyone know where I could get a cheap OE style tank? I have found some weird tubular aftermarket ones online that I want no part of. Maybe looking in a junkyard is the best option for this?

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

+As far as the rear window latch is concerned,, go to a junkyard and see if they have one there, maybe you'll luck out and find a latch on a broken window..
Tailgate issue,,,try to find a slim screw driver and push the lock latches in to open it up, you might have to have somebody give you a hand...
over flow tank,,, see if you can find one in a junkyard.. If you cant, try to epoxy the hole up, if all else fails
Good luck

Does the tailgate have an access plate on the inside?

Bingo, I remembered that and I was able to get it open, now I need to figure out how to make it work properly.

You may need to buy a new latch.
