trx 250x engine swap

Hi guys I have a pretty sweet 87 250x frame that has 400ex arms extended swing axle and works shocks on it. I want to put in a trx 250r engine.

Is this a direct swap? Can I just get an early atc air cooled one that will bolt right up? I would like to convert this to a 2 stroke.

in short... no

your best bet for a quick increase in power is the built 350x...but I believe I've seen a conversion out there to a liquid.

the early aircooled Rs had chaines on the right side, not the left.

dang! thanks for the quick info. I guess Ill just put the shocks on my blaster.....lol
